Note for those that have been to North Coast Village: There are two B buildings at North Coast Village. This unit is Not in the B building that parallels the Rail Road track. This unit is very quiet!
Sept 19 2012 Update: Added a new 50'! LCD TV to the living room. Moved the 37' LCD TV to the bedroom (replaced a 27' in the bedroom with living room TV)
Sept 19 2012 Update: Added a dresser to the living room in place of the TV Stand. This makes that room function more like a bedroom when the queen foldout sofa is extended.
Sept 15 2012 Update: Added 3' memory foam topper to the sofa fold out. It was about as comfortable as a sofa sleeper can be. This $200 topper makes it much more plush.
This beautiful one bedroom, one bath condominium sleeps 4 comfortably. There is a balcony with ocean views. The unit is a Top floor, corner unit. It is quiet (no one walking above you). Only one shared wall, and it is not on the bedroom/bathroom side. The unit is spotless ( non smoking unit, including balcony please).
There are many options for your time here. Enjoy the balcony with a cold drink. Or take a glass down to the property edge and sit right on the beach edge watching the sunset. Since alcohol is not allowed on San Diego beaches, sitting here with a glass of wine is a treat! In the mood for sun without sand? Go down to one of the giant pools or hot tubs (open late). Hit the large on-property fitness room (with sauna), or of course - take a walk on the beach.
Step off the property onto the sand (literally). The walk (or bike ride) from the property to the pier and the heart of Oceanside restaurants is a short 0.25 mile Flat walk. That is about one lap around a high school track! The trek to the pier is either along the water or on a sidewalk that is Right On The Sand - not along a road behind houses. The walk the other direction (north) to more restaurants and the harbor is only 150 yards!
How much do I love this location? I have lived in So Cal my whole life and I had never seen the infamous Green Flash of sunset. I had looked at least a thousand times for it. My second night at this condo - Whamo! God as my witness, up until then I thought it was a myth. What a spot to spend some time.
The unit is beautiful. I have added High Definition TV service and very fast broadband WiFi Internet. Other units have free TV, but not necessarily HD (don't let a flat screen TV fool you, it may be standard TV stretched to a flat screen). Also, other units use DSL for much slower internet service. At the start of Summer 2012, I have added new high thread count linens, pillows, and towels. I also replaced the BBQ and upgraded some furnishings, etc. This unit has been taken care of with kid gloves. I am local to the property and available for anything you may need.
The unit has body / boogie boards inside (3), folding chairs, and a large beach umbrella.
The master bedroom has a very comfortable king bed and the sofa expands to a queen bed. The living room and dining room are nicely appointed for a comfortable and laid back ambiance. A relaxing balcony with a gas-grill sits just outside your large glass door. There are huge cooking grills by the pool that are professionally cleaned daily if you want to cook for 10 (also a great way to meet others). The gas fireplace in your living room makes for relaxing evenings.
My smoke-free unit has every amenity. Two televisions, DVD/VCR, stereo with CD player, fully-stocked kitchen. This place is paradise. You will love it.
The unit has a reserved, gated, underground parking spot. There are 'open parking' spots too. On site is full time security and a staffed management office.
