Our private retreat is located only a little over 2 miles to the beach yet we are tucked away off the road nestled away from the hustle and bustle of beach traffic. You will be surrounded by trees and see lots of wildlife including deer,fox and an array of birds and water fowl. We have ample room for the family of 4or 5 to chill out after a long day at the beach, water park or boating activities as well as a fully equipped kitchen for dining at home. We also have boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas and beach toys.

Pros: The listing was as described, minus the pond. There was no pond. The property was clean and well maintained. It's tucked away from the busy traffic areas but still convenient to stores, the beach, the boardwalk, restaurants, etc. The place has a washer and dryer and a full bathroom which is great.

Cons: I had no idea there was a family living in the house as well--knowing that ahead of time would've been nice. The private retreat is essentially like a downstairs extension of the house-- seperated enough from the family, but you can still hear them walking and talking, which, if you're looking for true privacy, I wouldn't recommend staying here. There also was no $10 gift certificate as mentioned in the listing.

Other than that, the property was clean and the price was decent for what you get. I'd go back again--had no major issues with it.

Everything was good and what they claimed, but for the pond, there is no pond on the property.
