Lovely stay in Samara.....so close, yet JUST perfectly outside of the main hub.
Our family of 5 stayed in this lovely condo for a week. We have 3 small boys (5, 3, and 1). This was actually the second rental we had for our 2 week stay in Samara. The first was in a house 300 meters from the beach.....the 2nd was this condo. Debbie's property managers, Colleen & Nick, actually dropped off a play yard to us at the 1st rental so we could use it there, too. They then PICKED US, the boys, all our LUGGAGE, & groceries up from the first rental to the condo. Talk about service! All of the cab drivers were out of town for a local's funeral (very sad occasion). So, instead of making us walk with all of our traveling baggage, they picked us up in their car & delivered us door to door.......even helping us in with kids & cargo (much appreciated). The condo is VERY well appointed. Debbie, relying on their property managers to complete the task, got curtains hung up that block some of the hot, hot sun & yet don't spoil the view at all for they are somewhat shear. The kitchen had everything we needed.....could have used some more tupperware.....but luckily we brought some; so it wasn't an issue. There were TONS of linens & towels........even BEACH towels, which many places during our 7 week CR vacation did not offer. The bathroom drains did drain slowly, but this was not a major problem. When traveling to Costa Rica, travelers must remember that they are not in the United States. Seriously. Everything was in fine order. The AC was welcomed after long hot days at the beach. Debbie recommended Gustos on the Beach for dining............we went there to let the kids play in the surf while we ordered sangrias and piattinis to munch on. Highly recommended! The only downfall of the condo was the construction during our time there. It is a new condo and many of the units are being fitted and customized. We did have to put up with some construction noise while swimming in the pool......however, most of our time was spent on the beach and we couldn't hear the noise inside the condo. The 24 hour security guard made us feel very safe (though, I never felt unsafe in Samara or anywhere in CR, except for a few places on the Caribbean side. The guards quickly became familiar with our comings and goings and assisted us with the gates and whatnot very promptly. Really, if you are looking for a place in Samara, with a breathtaking view, all the amenities you could possibly need, for the right price. This is the perfect place. Thx Debbie!!
