About Amy or Bill Welch
Mexico is wonderful - the first thing people ask is, 'Is it safe?' We have driven all through Mexico and have had wonderful experiences from Merida to San Miguel de Allende, the Copper Canyon, Guadalajara, Zacatecas, Oaxaca, and throughout the Puerto Vallarta region. Come experience the magic of Mexico - the food and people are fantastic and welcoming.
Guestbook comments from the manager
We returned home safely late last night after a great three weeks at the condo. I wanted to thank you again for the rental arrangements and wanted to share some thoughts and feedback. Overall our stay was very enjoyable -- the condo unit, building, location, staff and facilities were all very good. The surroundings of Mismaloya bay and village were charming and the area has a nice Mexican flavour -- different from the loud, busy tourist environment. Unfortunately the internet service was poor and sketchy especially the second half of our visit. The computer in the lobby worked fine but often wasn't available due to use by other owners and renters. The unit was a nice size and very comfortable. As we confirmed earlier we discovered some pretty old, out-dated pantry and other items in various cupboards.Rental prices certainly do reflect both amenities and location of a property and I think the rent for this condo overall was very fair and reasonable. We spoke to many people about various other units and condos in the area and closer to town, the Marina, Nuevo, etc. and there is a big range of options and prices..... many considerably higher. We took the bus into town to go into town, and for the most part it was a good way to go back and forth for dining or shopping. Puerto Vallarta is a huge bustling town filled with tourists and ex-pats. The downside was grocery shopping. The trips to Mega and Walmart involved two busses and over half a day of travel. Even by taking a taxi one way it was a long trip and not very practical for us. We did buy things in the village but choice was very limited. As for dinners out, we loved our meals at Tony's, Jacalita, Le Kliff, Barcelona Tapas, Daiquiri Dick's, Archie's Wok, La Palapa, Fajita Republic, Margarita Grill, Cheeky Monkey, Steve's, and of course the restaurant at the condo which was a real treat and great food. Once again, thanks Amy for all your help in answering many questions ahead of time, and for your tips and helpful suggestions about the area and condo. It was a lovely holiday and frankly, with the winter that's dragging on here, I wish I were still there!
