The West Village Carriage house offers a wonderful base to enjoy the delights of New York City. It sits on the ground level (totally secure) of a wonderfully quaint and quiet street just off 7th Ave. With easy access (5-10 minute walk) to two subway stations you can be almost anywhere in the city in a matter of minutes. There are literally dozens of restaurants, bars and shops within a 10 minute walking radius. If you like extended walks you can be in Washington Square -NYU in 15 minutes or less, Lower Chelsea (14th Street) in 20 minutes or less, even the Financial District can be reached in just an easy 20-25 minutes.
The apartment itself is completely equipped with plenty of nice bath towels, luxurious bedding, 2 large clothes closets, and a small but functional kitchen which includes a dishwasher, stove, microwave, and a large coffee maker.. The kitchen is also well stocked with dishes, glassware, silverware, and cooking utensils. (But who wants to cook with all the great dining options just a few minutes away?)
The rooms are cozy but there is still plenty of room for 2 people to kick back and enjoy this PEACEFUL, well appointed retreat after a busy day in the bustling city. My wife and I are evening, in bed television viewers...There's a large 40" (I'm guessing) High-def Sony in the bedroom with all the high-def extended cable options you could possibly need.

As you can probably conclude, my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 7 day stay at the Carriage House. It's perfect for 2 people who want a QUIET retreat, on a pretty street in historic Greenwich Village, with easy access to all the wonders on the Big Apple.
Notes: Since I refuse to spend a fortune on dinner, I recommend the following reasonably priced restaurants: COPPELIA (Cuban) located on 14th street just west of 7th Ave (.6 mile walk); GRAND
SICHUAN (Chinese) located at 15 7th Ave (3 blocks South of apartment); CLOUD 9 DINER located at 360 9th Avenue in Chelsea (between 30th/31st St); DOMA NA ROHU (Eastern European) located at Bedford Street and Morton (3 blks South on Bedford); KATZ'S DELI (lunch) on Houston St east of 1st Ave (approx 2 miles from apt.); JUNIORS (lunch) in Grand Central Station....Average bill for two
