Hi! I'm Rifka and I live at Sequoia Resort with my grandchildren. If you need anything, just ask! I'm a former teacher and text book author - but now love living here and sharing this beautiful and peaceful property with you.
Rifka Several purchased this house in 2004
We are starting with four vacation homes and an RV Park, and have plans to build more homes in the near future. The new homes will feature solar energy and modern design.
An eco-tent campground is in the works near the lake!
Sequoia Resort is exploring collaborations with nonprofit, educational and youth organizations.
Two onsite contemporary art festivals have included international artists - and more art and performance projects are being planned.
We have even been 'scouted' for television and movie locations!
You will LOVE exploring the two National Parks!
Sequoia Park contains a large part of America's longest mountain range - the Sierra Nevada - including Mt. Whitney at 14,505 ft. And the Sequoias are the world's largest trees - General Sherman is 275 ft. tall.
From the top of Moro Rock (300 stair steps) you see the Great Western Divide.
Boyden Cavern and Crystal Cave offer tours.
Fish, boat and swim at Hume Lake.
And you may see black bears in the Parks ... but not at Sequoia Resort!
It is so nice to come 'home' to Deer Park at the end of your day in the Parks, relax and barbeque on the deck, or fix a meal in the kitchen (easy clean-up with the dishwasher!).
If you have hiked, the master bathroom soaking tub will come in handy!
Borrow a movie from our DVD library or watch the moon rise and stars come out.
We really enjoyed the property and were well served by Torsten. The space was terrific it's unfortunate we we're only there for such short time. Even the weather worked out! Excellent stay.
We stayed at this large cabin for 3 nights while we explored the Kings Canyon/sequoia area. The cabin was large and well kept with all of the amenities one would have at home. The only negative feature was that the site manager was basically absent the entire duration of our stay. When we had trouble with the wifi and tv we couldn't get a hold of anyone on site to address our issues. I would suggest that guests are informed when the office will be manned by a person so that any problems can be dealt with.
Beautiful place to stay while visiting Sequoia or Kings Canyon. The house is clean, really comfortable and the common areas are spacious.
Amelia and Rifka were prompt in replying to our questions, supplied all necessary information and we had no problems.
We really enjoyed our stay, totally recommended.
This is a perfect Lake View Cottage to spend your vacation. Perfect amenities, helpful recommendations to plan your daily activities, & a comfortable setting to make this the most relaxing vacation spot we've found! The lake is perfect & they have all the boats you need if you'd like to go on a boat ride. I would recommend this place over & over again!
First I want to mention the screens have been installed!! The house was very clean and met our needs. If your a book lover this is the place to visit. There is a large book collection on a variety of topics in one of the two bedrooms. Amelia who takes care of the rental booking is excellent. She followed through on everything said she would do and provided us detailed written information and maps of the property. The house is not too far from Kings Canyon.
We had a great stay at the Lake View Home. It was clean and spacious. The staff including Amelia, Torston, the maintenance man and housekeepers were all very helpful and accommadating. We enjoyed sitting on the large deck and playing horseshoes and badminton. The location of the property made it easy to go the both Kings Canyon and Sequia National Forrest. The only negative to the house was that none of the sliders had screens so we couldn't leave the doors open because of the bugs. Other than that, we had an excellent stay and would recommend it to others. Can't wait to come back!
We came here with my family for a weekend getaway and thoroughly enjoyed everything the home had to offer! It was clean, spacious, and had all the amenities of home! The surroundings were gorgeous and the lake had an incredibly calming effect. Great place for a family to spend some time and get away from the stresses of every day life!
