Spectacular views.....but...

Spectacular View, Beautiful Pool and yard, Great Price, but all of this from a house that needed a serious deep cleaning, lots of paint, and furniture that wasn't Fraternity House hand me downs! While we enjoyed the home, and the value it represented, several items made for a less than pleasant visit. The biggest disapointment came after we had booked, paid and arrived when we were told of all of the restrictions. The owner loudly proclaims that this property is one of a handful of "licensed" vacation homes, what he doesn't tell you, is that since it is in a residential neighborhood you are limitied in what hours you can be on the deck, what hours you can use the pool (you are supposed to be out by 6:30 pm.. but the sprinkler system turns on at 5:00 pm effectively ending your day), and how many people you can have visit at any one time (we had to cancel a family party because we couldn't have more than 2 cars parked in front at any one time). And lest you forget any of these rules, don't worry, there are tacky 8 x 10 paper signs hung everywhere (plus you will probably get a call telling you that your kids were too noisy).
With all of this said, and the wonderful service that Caroline the 'concierge' provided (truly a great asset), we found the house to be a great value, a wonderful view and we would probably stay here again. Our advice to you is to get the Restrictions and Rules before you commit. If you have issues with any of them, you probably are not going to want to stay. We would also say, that if your kids are not perfectly behaved, you may want to reconsider. The time difference between the mainlaind and 'paradise' meant a lot of early mornings where we were stuck inside becuse of the noise concerns.
