Ohana (Family) house description:
The Ohana (family) House is constructed out of Canadian Cedar in the traditional Hawaiian ‘post and beam’ style. It features 27ft high vaulted ceilings above 14ft high cedar walls, oak and tile floors. In the Great Room there is a large gourmet kitchen with a cook top island overlooking a large dining room and living room area. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator with a built in icemaker and filtered water dispenser. The kitchen comes with all standard cooking utensils and place settings for up to 16 people. The dining room table can seat 10-12 people. There is also a half bathroom and wet bar located here as well. The initial supply of soap, paper towels and toilet supplies are included. Linens, bath towels and beach towels are also provided. Off the kitchen there is a covered and screened-in Lanai that contains a large gas grill and overlooks the pool area. In the other direction toward the front porch there is a laundry room with washer and dryer
Ohana house location and pool amenities:
There are large covered Lanai’s on both the front entrance and the back of the ohana house. The back covered Lanai overlooks a large deck, a private in-ground swimming pool, Cabana with refrigerator, 6-8 person Jacuzzi spa and a beautiful ocean view of Oahu’s Diamond Head in the distance. It’s also a great place to watch the sunset or stargaze at night. There are numerous Lanai chairs situated all around the pool and deck for relaxing and sunning. The house is on the west end of the island, so you also get to see amazing sunsets from almost anywhere on the property while listening to the ocean waves roll in. Papohaku beach is just down the hill about 300 yards away. It is the largest white sand beach in all of Hawaii, but don’t be surprised to find yourself alone on it. The sand is soft and it is a wonderful place to go watch the surf, and just plain relax. The local people have made it a point to keep development a thing of the future so most of the island is undeveloped.
