Grenada, West Indies, Caribbean 12`N 61`45 W Location: The guesthouse is on the east coast of Grenada’s Caribbean coastline in a stunning position directly on a promontory overlooking Cabier beach and Crochu harbour bay. We are a mile from the village of Crochu, where you can purchase local supplies. The town of Grenville can be reached in 15 minutes using local minibus service, and the capital St George’s and is about 45 minutes away. We offer airport transfers for US $45 (50 minutes) or we can hire a jeep (advised) for you, picked up at the airport or delivered to Cabier. Whilst remote in a natural setting we are in easy reach of the island’s main attractions.
Golf: What to do at Cabier
There is a golf course near the capital St.Georges - please contact us - we can provide more information.
Many of our guests want to do little more than float in the warm sea, sit outside their room or on the beach or laze in one of the hammocks in the headland garden. The more energetic can enjoy snorkelling in the sheltered waters round the headland and the off shore reef, or strolling along the paths that wind around the coast, perhaps accompanied by one or more of the friendly hotel dogs who are always ready to be borrowed for walk or a swim.
Nature lovers can see pelicans, frigate birds, egrets, herons and humming birds without stirring from their veranda. Bruno is happy to organise trips to the magnificent rainforest that covers much of Grenada, to see waterfalls, beautiful flowers, birds, butterflies, monkeys.
There are also trips to the capital St George’s, which is the prettiest harbour in the Caribbean and has good shops and restaurants, to one of several rum distilleries and to the chocolate factory and gardens at Belmont.
We have an arrangement with the PADI dive shop down the coast at Prickly Bay for those who wish to dive the coral reefs and wrecks of Grenada. It is also possible to combine a stay at Cabier with a live-aboard trip round the Grenadines in a catamaran.
