A Peaceful Paradise....a Wonderful Escape

This is the first time I have ever reviewed a property, though I have stayed in so many rentals. Four of my girlfriends and I booked a three night stay at your lovely home for a girls' getaway weekend. A few of my friends were so stressed and rundown leading up to this trip, that I truly worried that they would be able to relax and dial down enough to enjoy it. From the moment we entered the home, we truly felt transported away to another part of the world...at times we felt like we were in a Swiss Villa, then an Italian Villa, then a private resort. The kitchen was amazing, and we spent hours sitting around the beautiful counter area enjoying our coffee and nibbling on snacks. The views were unbelievable as the home was on a quiet section of the lake. We loved that each of us had our own sleeping space and it was quiet and so comfortable. The beds were super comfy and of superior quality as well. The outdoor area was really the masterpiece though. Between the view, the amazing pool and the covered patio area, sitting outside in that backyard was when I saw my friends truly relax. Our other favorite part of the home was the fabulous theater room. We loved the huge screen and cozy seating.
Though I cannot rave enough about the location, decor, cleanliness and aura of the home, I must agree with the other reviewers that Christian and Jessica were so incredibly sweet and helpful, that we really felt pampered. They were quick to respond to any questions we had, and seemed truly devoted to helping us leave our stress behind. If any little issue arose, like at one point one of my friends locked herself out of her room by mistake, Christian made sure that someone rushed back to the house as soon as possible to open the door. Christian and Jessica told us that anything in the refrigerator that was theirs, we were welcome to and they were just so lovely to deal with. Many owners are impersonal and treat this like a business, but we felt like he was someone we would want to call a friend. I guess that sums it up, we felt as welcome as we would have staying at the home of a friend.

Wonderful Hill country Home

I was here with 11 friends to celebrate our 30th birthdays, we spent the whole weekend at the house and never wanted to leave.

This estate was absolutely amazing - much more grand than it looks in the pictures. The sound system, heated pool, and grill made the outdoor area a wonderful place to hang out and the view was amazing.

The owner is very responsive and accommodating and bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we needed.

Outstanding Property, Great Owner

I stayed at this property in early April with a large group of friends. The property is ideal to cater to a large group. The bedrooms are all spacious with large beds and the bathrooms are outstanding. An extra bonus on the first floor is the huge bathroom with the steamroom which was great after a round of golf. The kitchen is perfect and was able to accommodate a large amount of people eating/drinking.

The description of the property only beings to do it justice. The views, which are available from almost every room, are nothing short of sensational. The property is in great shape and maintained exceptionally well. The house is essentially built around the pool and that makes the flow great - everything is really centered around the pool and the outdoor terrace.

Dealing with the owner was a dream. Too often, owners look at a security deposit as a tax above the normal booking rate. This owner was very fair and returned part of our deposit. We had damaged a chair and scratched an area of the floor. The owner sent pictures of both and deducted a very fair amount from the deposit to cover it. I think what sets this owner apart is the level of communication. He is open and honest which makes the process much more enjoyable.

I would recommend this property to anyone staying in the Austin area. It was easy to get downtown at night (maybe a 20 min cab ride) and also close to area golf courses. All in all, I would definitely rent this house again in the future and I think our trip was all that much better because we stayed here.

Fantastic Stay

Absolutely wonderful, the house was amazing, the owner could not have been more gracious and the areas is beautiful. I wholeheartedly recommend renting this house to anyone with a decent sized group interested in visiting Austin. There were plenty of sleeping accommodations for our group of 14. The location was perfect for visiting downtown without being overwhelmed or cramped. To sum it up, the pictures do not do it justice.

Wonderful House

Simply put, our stay and everything leading up to it was perfect! We looked at numerous houses before deciding on this one, and I will tell you not to waste your time doing this same. This house is spectacular, its owners are friendly, responsive and accommodating, and you won't find another house that simultaneously feels just a stones throw from the city and a million miles away.

The house itself is phenomenal. It was not only huge and immaculate, but also warm and inviting. The appointments are beautiful, but it doesn't feel like you're in a museum afraid to touch anything. There were 12 in our group, and the house easily accommodated us. There was tons of space and we did not feel cramped at all.

We spent most of our time outside. The outdoor space is sprawling and the views are breathtaking. We grilled, relaxed, tossed a football around on the grass, etc. My favorite feature of the house is the phenomenal sound system that runs throughout the house. If you have an iphone or ipad you can very easily connect wirelessly to the system and play your music all throughout the house, including the outdoor areas. The group I was with included some big music fans, so we used the sound system a lot.

Another huge plus for our group is the house's proximity to downtown Austin. Our group was mainly 20-somethings and we wanted to enjoy dinner and a night out downtown. This house only 15 or 20 minute cab ride from downtown (unlike many houses we considered in Lakeway, Lago Vista, Spicewood, etc. which are much further).

Christian and Jessica (the owners) were so friendly and accommodating. They made themselves totally available to us during our stay via text/cell phone to answer any questions or help us in any way they could. When we arrived, there are nice bottles of wine ready and waiting for us to enjoy, which was a wonderful surprise that we really enjoyed. They offered to make recommendations, reservations, etc. much like a concierge at a luxury hotel. I can't imagine more thoughtful owners and they really made our stay memorable and enjoyable.

I could fill pages with more praise for this house and these owners, but I'll stop here. Thanks for making our stay so wonderful. If I find myself needing to rent a house in Austin in the future, you're the only person I will call!
