Caroline’s Haven is a duplex and this unit is one side named THE GLEN, which is a 2-story 2-bedroom 2-bathroom home. It has a separate entrance, separate garage and private fenced backyard It sleeps 2-4 persons (or up to 8 persons if you need larger accommodations).
Caroline’s Haven in the Wine Country is delightfully decorated with a mix of antique and modern furniture, offers ultra plush beds with luxurious linens, down comforters, Direct TV, DVD and VCR players, internet, and a fully equipped kitchen stocked with all kitchen ware, wine glasses, cocktail glasses, dishes, pots and pans, bake ware, cloth napkins, table cloths. There are basic spices in the pantry and refrigerator. All bathrooms have plush towel sets, shampoo and conditioner, moisture lotion, and liquid soap for your use. Caroline's Haven has a hair dryer and an iron, as well as a washer and dryer. It has a large front yard with driveway parking and a newly built back deck that overlooks a garden area filled with birds, butterflies…a great place to relax with afternoon wine, famous cheeses, fresh bread and Wine Country chocolates.
In the morning, you can choose to have coffee, juice, bakery goods in the fully equipped kitchen or go onto the back deck. After breakfast, take a moment or two to stroll through the neighborhood and to the park across the street as you prepare for a day of sightseeing.
Vacation time can be filled with opportunity. It can be visiting dozens of fine wineries from Russian River and Alexander Valley through Sonoma and the Carneros region to Napa and Silverado Trail, Jack London Village with its fine restaurants and music, the historic town of Glen Ellen with fine dining (Fig Café, Glen Ellen Inn Restaurant, Saffron) and unique shops, and hiking Jack London State Park with its abundance of trails, the Wolf House Ruins, Redwood picnic areas, peaceful gardens, museums, and horse rentals. The city of Sonoma, a short five-mile drive from Caroline’s Haven, is noted for its plaza and events, fine shops, historic Sebastiani Theater, and acclaimed restaurants. Golf at the Sonoma Country Club or in Bennett Valley or Napa's Chardonnay Golf Course. Choose to hike through many County and State Parks to see vistas, stroll through meadows and mingle with nature all day. Swim at Morton’s Warm Springs, only 15 minutes away, and dip into their pools and mineral baths in a bucolic country setting, or bring a picnic. Best of all, meet the friendly faces of the local community…at the open markets, at the festivals, at the museums and in the boutiques.
In the afternoon when you return to Caroline’s Haven, unwind by reading a book on the front porch, sip a glass of wine on the deck, relax, BBQ and suspend time for awhile.
