This comfortable apartment is part of 187 that form the 'Edificio Panamericano' which was built in 1964 and has transformed the 'rambla' ever since. It is now an icon in the Montevideo skyline. Good management is constantly up keeping the building to latest technology and trends. The impressive and sturdy structure shows the good workmanship of this building back when buildings where done using high quality materials.
Our apartment, # 507, has a surface area of 1389 square feet (129 square meters). It looks east to the Yacht Club and west to the 'Playa Pocitos'. It has hardwood floors with under floor central heating that are operated by the building and keep the entire building cozy in winter. Summer heat is put at bay with the new air conditioning and new dual pane windows. A full size kitchen with a little dinette area is very comfortable for a quick morning breakfast, a lunch or dinner.
The porter will great you with a friendly smile and give you access to the hall of the elevators. An original, 1960's small bronze elevator, will zip you to the 5th floor. The use of block elevators keeps traffic to a minimum.
After dialing in your access code, you will enter the apartment and you'll find the dining table straight ahead, living room to the far right and left, kitchen to your right, the guest bathroom to the right and two more bedrooms and bathrooms to the left.
Master bedroom is fitted with a Uruguayan queen size bed (140cm by 190), second bedroom with a single bed with trundle and the third bedroom with a single bed.
The main bathroom has a Jacuzzi built in.
The second bedroom with a single bed has a en-suite small bathroom.
The third bedroom is accessed through the kitchen and is sometimes used as the maid's room. It has a very small en-suite bathroom.
