About Lance & Lisa

This is our home away from home. Living just 1.5 hours away lets us run to our cabin in the Poconos all the time for a quick get-away of outdoor activity. We love riding our bikes on the bike path & fishing!

Lance & Lisa purchased this cabin in 2006

Why Lance & Lisa chose Mount Pocono

We bought this Pocono cabin because we wanted a place close enough to drive to easily, we specifically wanted a log cabin, on a river, fishing and biking - this cabin had all we wanted and more! We grew up skiing at Jack Frost & Big Boulder so it's amazing to have a cabin so close! And the best restaurant in the Poconos is right across the street!

What makes this cabin unique

Our cabin has a short path down to the Lehigh Gorge State Park bike path and the Lehigh River. We pack a lunch and head out for a long bike ride every day we're there. Hickory Run State Park is also right across the river for summer swimming and hiking. In the winter the bike path is great for cross country skiing, snow shoeing and snowmobiling. It's truly a year-round vacation destination!

Guestbook comments from the manager

Hi Lisa, we had a fire going last night and stayed up late playing games with the kids. They are still sleeping so we haven't ventured outside yet. Can't wait - heard the rapids last night from the deck so we are definitely going to take that walk you mentioned. We travel all over the world and this is only three hours from home and the best vacation so far!

A wonderful get away in a pristine setting

  • 5 of 5

The property is a lovely well kept cabin in a gorgeous setting. The fabulous porch running the length of the home, is just above the trail running alongside of the fast waters of the Lehigh River. And the sound of the water, ever present, was so relaxing. For most of our visit we (three couples in all) were content exploring the trail along the river and relaxing in front of the fireplace and out on that porch. The beds were very comfortable as was the entire cabin. We originally planned for a two night stay but we were enjoying it so much, we decided we wanted to extend our stay an extra day and fortunately it was available. The owners are very nice people. So helpful and accommodating. They gave us ideas and plenty of information on where to go and what to do. We will definitely be returning to this property.

Perfect Getaway from HOME!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had the best time of our life at this place. Lisa and Lance thank you so much, the house is beautiful and perfect. It is so big and can fit 10-15 people easily. The house had everything you can ask for. Perfect bedrooms with perfect living room and kitchen. We were by the fire place the whole time and loved the deck.

We would definitely go again and probably to plan go again in summer. We also had hired Joe who was recommended by Lisa. He came and made bloody mary breakfast for all of us and did the Lobster bake for lunch. He was amazing. Thanks to Lisa for recommending him.

The house sits on a hill and has beautiful creek down the hill in the backyard. Loved waking up to the sound of water. The cabin exceeded our expectations. We had my husband's surprise 40th bday getaway and had so much fun. Couldn't have been better!

Just like home

  • 5 of 5

Lisa, We had such a fantastic time and appreciate you guys for allowing us to stay in your home! You're cabin was absolutely perfect and was EXACTLY what we were all looking for. Having all the conveniences of our planned activities so close by really made life simple. Honestly, snowmobiling, skiing, fantastic restaurants were all a short ride away. So glad we found this gem of a home!

Of the eight of us staying, no one had one complaint simply because we just had a marvelous time!

Thanks again

We look forward to returning again next winter :)

  • 5 of 5

Always wanted to go on a little weekend getaway to a Log cabin with my family ..after searching the Internet my daughter came across Lisa and Lances home and we loved the pictures immediately. .I spoke with Lisa many times over the phone and she made us feel welcomed before we even arrived ..helped us with everything we needed to know to make our stay perfect.. upon arrival we entered the cabin and we were by far impressed to the max!! The house is absolutely beautiful and clean ..my kids were so amazed with the set up of the cabin..it has everything !!! We went in the middle of sub below 0 degrees ... (record breaking days of the ice box) .. we spent alot of time in the living room by the fire and every night in the basement playing pool and playing games till 2am.. we really enjoyed spending family time together that we don't get at home with everyones busy work schedules. Jack Frost ski resort is 10 minutes away. We had a great time snow tubing..Also went Snowmobiling in Mt. Pocono about 25 min away ..and spent a lovely time on a sleigh ride through snow covered fields seeing deer and other wildlife @ Daisy Field Farm also about 7 min. from cabin ..We can't wait to go back and enjoy this wonderful home again ..thank you Lisa and Lance for your prompt response when we texted you with any questions we had .... look forward to visiting PA real soon ...Cherise & Mike
