Guestbook comments from the owner
Hi Lisa, we had a fire going last night and stayed up late playing games with the kids. They are still sleeping so we haven't ventured outside yet. Can't wait - heard the rapids last night from the deck so we are definitely going to take that walk you mentioned. We travel all over the world and this is only three hours from home and the best vacation so far!

This is our home away from home. Living just 1.5 hours away lets us run to our cabin in the Poconos all the time for a quick get-away of outdoor activity. We love riding our bikes on the bike path & fishing!

Owner/Manager purchased this cabin in 2006

We bought this Pocono cabin because we wanted a place close enough to drive to easily, we specifically wanted a log cabin, on a river, fishing and biking - this cabin had all we wanted and more! We grew up skiing at Jack Frost & Big Boulder so it's amazing to have a cabin so close! And the best restaurant in the Poconos is right across the street!

Our cabin has a short path down to the Lehigh Gorge State Park bike path and the Lehigh River. We pack a lunch and head out for a long bike ride every day we're there. Hickory Run State Park is also right across the river for summer swimming and hiking. In the winter the bike path is great for cross country skiing, snow shoeing and snowmobiling. It's truly a year-round vacation destination!

AWESOME CABIN, LOTS OF AMENITIES!!!

  • 5 of 5
This cabin was fantastic if you are looking to get off the beating path and into a picturesque nature setting. We check into the cabin on July 17 and planned a 4 day long weekend. We had 4 couples wit 4 kids that joined us and the house accommodated all of us perfectly. We were blown away by how nice the cabin was on the inside and outside. The deck on the back of the house was great. Each morning we were able to sit out back and relax with our morning coffee while listening to sounds of the river below. Very peaceful. There is great biking trail about 100 yards from the house. The path to get down to it is very clear and a very easy walk. I took a nice long walk every morning on the path and saw some deer as well. All of the bedrooms were more tan spacious for our group. We were able to put the kids to bed in the bedrooms upstairs so that we could take advantage of the downstairs game room and pool table without waking any of them up. There is a washer and dryer in the downstairs that we ended up using once. It was nice to go on a trip like this and then come home with all clean clothes! The front yard is a bit tight but we parked our cars right up close to the house and set up some games in the driveway. It worked out just fine.
We used the outdoor grill all three days we were there. We brought our own charcoal and it couldn't have been easier. I absolutely loved the fire pit. We had that going two out of the three nights and it was great to sit around it as a group with all of our friends.

We made a few runs to the store in White Haven which was about 10 minutes away. They have everything that you need there. We also took advantage of the nearby Hickory Run State Park. Its probably a 20 minute drive but man were the grounds awesome. They have a swimming area with a nice beach. All of the restrooms and locker rooms, and concession buildings were brand new. They also had Frisbee golf!
Overall everyone had a wonderful time and we would definitely come back to this house again. Its the true definition of what a home in the Poconos is supposed to be like.

A PLACE TO LET IT ALL GO!

  • 5 of 5
Every year, a few of my friends and I get together over a weekend for some guy time. We usually go to the beach, but this year we wanted to branch out and in our search stumbled on this gem amongst the trees. It was absolutely perfect! At night we spent the majority of our time outside around the fire pit. During the day we went paintballing and fly fishing in the river. The cabin itself is spacious and immaculate. If you are looking for a place to get away, that isn't too far away, I highly recommend renting this cabin. I look forward to bringing my whole family back in the future.

BEAUTIFUL, RESTFUL, AND THERE IS A LOT TO DO!

  • 5 of 5
Great area! Bike trail and river below the spacious house. Sitting on the porch, drinking coffee, early am was wonderful!
We had a wonderful time for the week!
The master bedroom had a queen and the loft was a king. The kids had a great time in the river and playing pool. We didn't eat out at all. We did drive to the quaint town of Jim Thorpe. The Woods ice cream store in White Haven has delicious ice cream.

AMAZING WEEKEND!!!

  • 5 of 5
The property was the perfect location for a joint bachelor/bachelorette party. We enjoyed a quiet secluded weekend at the cabin where we had a BBQ and fire pit going each night.

The cabin is very spacious - it slept 12 of us easily. In addition, there's plenty of space to hang out and lounge around, either out front by the fire pit, inside in the living room, or on the porch out back.

The cabin is well located - we were able to drive 5 minutes into town to pick up extra groceries. The drive to the local paintball and white water rafting locations took less than 30 minutes as well.

All in all, one of the most enjoyable weekends I've had in a while. Will definitely look to come back in the future!

CABIN WAS BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT

  • 5 of 5
We had 12 guys up at the cabin for a bachelor party . The weekend couldn't have been any better . The cabin was amazing and the river down the hill was beautiful and great trout fishing . We caught a dozen delicious trout and threw them on the cowboy grill over the fire pit in the back.lance and Lisa were great. They responded very quick and we're very informative about the area and activities to do around the cabin. All in all best weekend I have had in a very very long time I highly recommend this cabin to anyone .Thank you so much for letting us stay at your home!!
