The Sandpiper Cottage is our newest rental located just 2 blocks off the beach, right next to our gorgeous new town park, and on a quiet, tree-lined street. Come stay in the comfortable 2 bedroom house, complete with eat in kitchen, laundry room, cable TV on the new flatscreen, and even brand new, high end mattress sets in the bedrooms. The fenced-in back yard and new propane grill, and unbelievably stocked kitchen make the house ready for your kids, friends, or even just a couples’ getaway. Comfortable seating, included linens, beachy décor and beautiful original hardwood floors make this a great spot to rent year-round.

The Sandpiper is equipped with 2 queen beds, along with 2 twin air mattresses to comfortably accommodate 6 guests, and is available for rent all year for days, weekends, and full-week rentals.

Great house, great vacation!

I’m a single father and stayed in Sandpiper with my daughter (6) and son (2) the week of 7/28 – 8/4/2012. Our agent, Ashby, was great to work with, very responsive, and very helpful.

This is a really comfortable house in nice shape that is in a good clean, quiet, neighborhood. Most of the neighbors appeared to me to be permanent residents. I definitely recommend this unit for anyone who can be accommodated with 2 bedrooms.

The walk to the beach was only a few minutes with my kids in tow, an adult at normal pace could make it in less than two minutes easily. The city park is about one house away. The park is in good shape with a small walking track, large open field, gazebo, and a playground that the kids had to hit every night. The main downtown area of Cape Charles was also well within walking distance for us. I suggest trying Kelly’s Gingernut Pub and The Brown Dog Ice Cream Shop.

This is a great beach for small kids. The waves tend to be very small and the slope to deeper water is very gradual. At times we were 50-100 yards off shore and the water was still only up to my two year old’s chest.

Overall, great house, great location, great vacation.
