Winter Getaway

We have just returned from an extended stay at the Reef and highly recommend it. The condo was exactly as described and the photos are very accurate. The property is well equipped for short or longer stays and Nancy is very responsive to any requests. She also let us know about any maintenance issues that were required in the complex during our stay. The property is well located for dining,shopping and walking. The Blue Crab restaurant in the nearby Coast Hotel is excellent.

We have stayed at The Reef twice and are very comfortable with this condo. The location is great, right up from Fisherman’s Wharf, beside a fresh seafood store, and within 15 minutes walking distance of downtown. We walked some 210 km during the last month, never got tired of the ocean view along Dallas Road, wonderful meandering well maintained walking paths. Starbucks and a groc. store are within walking distance. The harbor views from the condo are breathtaking at any time, day or night, boats, ships, harbor planes, the lights of property across the harbor and downtown are outstanding. The unit is modern, functional, very well equipped, quiet, all the amenities of home, good underground parking, and the condo location on the property, being on a high corner is premium space. Nancy, the property manager, is attentive and responsive. Truly a jewel in Victoria.

Amazing location and views! Beautiful, upscale condo.

Booked this condo for a last minute opening for a week during fall. One of the best locations you can find if you want to explore Victoria, it's close to everything downtown and has million dollar views. We enjoyed watching the ferries and sea planes from the enormous windows. The property manager is wonderful and thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Easy to follow information sheets and instructions and great suggestions for a memorable trip, and quick return of security deposit. Very well stocked condo, in upscale residential building that has a modern, cool loft-type vibe. We especiallly enjoyed walking across the street to the pretty green grass park and Fisherman's Wharf and watching the funny seals begging folks for fish (a must see!) Live music and good food are easy to find nearby and we had fun exploring. Enjoyed taking a water taxi too for a fresh perspective. Condo had everyting we needed for a comfortable and luxurious stay that went too quickly. For our group of 3 people we had plenty of room. My parents took the master king bedroom (I don't think the master bedroom walls went all the way up entirely to the ceiling so perhaps sound and conversations carry a bit more because of that in case anyone is sensitive to that). I took the second queen bedroom, which is an "inside" bedroom (no window to the outside) although it did have a frosted porthole interior room window. Soft bed, slept great. Luxury bedding and towels. Spotlessly clean condo throughout. Flowers waiting for us on the glass table. Daily newspaper delivery. Quiet building. Secure parking. Nice large balcony with high end patio furniture too. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!

A Most Memorable and Magical Stay!

Being able to stay at The Reef has been an exceptionally wonderful experience for myself as well as for my elderly parents. This is a place we will treasure and it was very difficult for us to leave. As the other reviews confirm, the condo itself is quite beautiful and in an excellent location with spectacular views. What also makes this rental unique is how versatile it is, depending upon who you are with and what you want to do -- there is a wide range of experiences to choose from. For example, for the first part of the rental period, I was alone and often started the day by taking a long walk the path adjacent to Dallas Road, which is the scenic drive -- it has beautiful views! If you spend time alone here it is peaceful and restorative if you want it to be, and yet when you step outside, there is always somewhere interesting to go or to explore.

I also spent time at The Reef with my parents and I highly recommend this rental for this kind of arrangement as well. There are definitely layers in this city/neighborhood to investigate. If you are looking for less touristy sites that are within a short distance and make for a relatively stress-free afternoon activity, I can recommend going to Hatley Park/Castle (Colwood) and Fisgard Lighthouse (on the way back). Also, Saxon Point Park in Esquimalt is a nice place to relax. Another surprise find which seemed off the beaten track was Abkhazian Gardens -- they also have a lovely lunch service. We also spent time just sitting at Cattle Point, Willows Beach and Cadboro Bay Beach (recommend Olive Olios nearby). Nancy also kindly introduced me to the Thursday newspaper, which contains a Calendar of Events for the week ahead. On Saturday mornings there is a Farmer`s Market just several blocks away.

This is an amazing rental and I do not hesitate to recommend it whether your intention is to rejuvenate yourself, to sightsee, to explore, to live like a local, and/or to create happy memories with family/friends.

So wonderful

My mom and I stayed here for 3 weeks. We loved the condo. The view was mesmerizing. Even though it was winter, we had a marvelous time. We went to many attractions, and having underground parking was so wonderful as my mom could get around so easily. We went to the Royal museum, and Butchart Gardens (their high tea is wonderful). Shopping was a breeze. We found the Dutch Bakery and it lived up to its billing. We visited friends and relatives, and then came "home" and were able to relax and rejuvinate while watching TV, reading, or sitting in front of the fireplace, baking cookies...just a wonderful time. Clean, fully stocked and safe. We will stay again if we are out in Victoria, winter or summer. Thanks Nancy :)

We started liking it a little too much..

Two of us stayed in this apartment for a week. It was even better than described and pictured. While we liked it on arrival, within a few days, we were liking it a little too much and realized that it was not going to be easy to leave.

The apartment itself is very spacious with elegant and comfortable furnishings. The kitchen is fully equipped. The barbecue on the large balcony was also very usable.

The neighbourhood is great for walking or cycling with Fisherman's Wharf on the other side of the park in front. There is a very good fresh seafood store (FAS) next door. Downtown Victoria is easily walkable with the extra treat of being able to walk along the water.

We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
