Location, Location, Location EXCELLENT! The listing description of location is accurate and the photos do accurately reflect the appearance. I'm not giving on overall rating of excellent only because of a few flaws, in my opinion. I would have preferred a pullout sofa because the popup sofa trundle that was provided was a bit difficult to figure out, the apartment had several cobwebs (the entire place needed a good scrubbing), and the kitchen table & washcloths need to be replaced.
Good Location, within walking distance for a shopping area and the Metro. Very easy to get to the heart of DC. Apartment was comfortable, kitchen had everything that we needed to make meals for the 3 days we were there. Recommend adding the parking it was very convenient to just park the car and use the Metro.
The place was exactly what I was looking for. It was nice to have everything I would have at home while staying in another city. I also really love the use of codes. I didn't have to carry keys around. The location was perfect. Close to everything.
The apartment was as advertised. The location was extremely convenient: the metro was three short blocks away and so were a supermarket and many shops? We hardly used our car during our stay. We found the neighborhood to be extremely diverse but felt safe at all time. There is a good variety of restaurants within walking distance.
The apartment was clean with a plentiful supply of linens, kitchen utensils, etc. A minor complaint is that the top of the kitchen table should be refinished, because the spots on it detract from otherwise attractive furniture. We would recommend it to friends traveling to the Washington area.
The apartment was good for what we wanted. it was close to the metro. The few problems was that the communication with the owner was poor. we rented a car tow days and was supposed to be able to park the car at the apartment, but the evening of the first day we rented the car we could not find where to park the car and the space next to the building was finced and locked. we tried call the owner but had to leave a message. after some time had passed with no return call we decided to see if we could return the car to the rental agency. Which we did for both times. Another time we woke up in to morning to start our day around 6 am and discovered that there was no running water. We called again and dthere was no answer so left a message. The call was not returned but the water was back on with in the hour. The morning after no water we woke up to only cold water. We did not call this time since we were not getting any calls back. So after I took a very cold shower, me and my family finished getting ready for our day and left. By that evening the hot water was back on. The morning of our last day the kitchen light was not working. Did not bother calling since we were leaving later that morning and there was enough light with the drapes open. Other than that we had a great stay. I wished that the communication was a little better, but we still had a great time on our vacation.
We stayed here for four nights. It's a great location in a vibrant neighborhood with lots of good restaurants near by and close to the Metro. The building is fine and felt safe enough, though you could hear everything through the walls. I'm pretty sure it's mostly other rentals, but that's not a big deal. We never even bothered getting the key, but just used the codes. The managers were responsive when I emailed.
Really, we didn't spend much time awake in the apartment -- just mornings and evenings. The dishwasher didn't work and I meant to email them about it, but once we were out for the day, I forgot and we weren't cooking. It would have been nice if there had been some dish soap to hand wash, but there wasn't and I didn't want to buy some to use once. The furniture is Ikea and there aren't any personal effects around (better for families with small children who break knick-knacks) and the renovation was rather poorly done (having just done a renovation, I notice these things), but none of that affected our stay. The sleeper couch was not comfortable. It didn't bother my four year old, but I can't imagine anyone older than a teenager would be able to sleep well. The king mattress in the bedroom was fine, though. My only big complaint is that the cleaning fee isn't just integrated into the cost per night, but that's not a problem with just this property, but VRBO in general.

In general, this is a fine home base for adventures in D.C.
