Guestbook comments from the owner

The apartment was just as advertised with excellent ammenities. Only 150 metres from the Chateau Frontenac and easy walking distance to all the best restaurants in Old Quebec. The fully equipped kitchen has ever thing you would need if you want to whip up your own gourmet treats. A car is not needed but free covered parking about 4 minutes is very convenient. We parked the car after unloading and didn't touch it until we left. One minor warning: the apartment is on the 4th floor (great street views all round) so if mobility is an issue or you bring lots of luggage, be prepered to hump it up the stairs. One advantage of being on the top floor and being off the main streets is that the apartment was very quiet.

Immaculate Apartment in Old Town Quebec

  • 5 of 5

What a great apartment! My family of four stayed here for four nights and couldn't have been more pleased with the apartment and the Old Town Quebec location. The apartment was immaculately clean and everything we needed to prepare and cook meals was available in the kitchen. Grocery stores are close by, as well as museums and an incredible bakery (Paillard) are within a few blocks. Everyone had their own space. The internet Wi-Fi was good came in very handy, especially being from outside of Canada and data plans prohibitively expensive. Everything was as advertised in this listing and more. The apartment manager was receptive before hand and very personable and gracious in person. I highly recommend this listing for anyone spending any amount of time in Quebec and wants a very convenient Old Town location.

Wonderful Vieux Quebec apartment

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for my "bucket list" trip to go to Carnaval - staying in this apartment was the icing on the cake. I echo everything the other writers had to say, and can only add a huge merci for making us feel like we were at home in this wonderful city.

(kudos too to the property manager, who promptly and very kindly texted back any solutions to questions I'd forgotten to ask on arrival!).

Fantastic location & property

  • 5 of 5

This property is a gem in the heart of Old Quebec. Centrally located, all of the attractions are only a few minutes walk away. It was the perfect 'base' for my teenaged daughter and I during our visit. Having the included parking space was great. It allowed us to have a rental car and explore some of the outlying areas. I would most definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in Quebec.

Wonderful apt for 4 adults

  • 5 of 5

I'm afraid to give this place a good review because then everyone will find out about it, and I'll never be able to rent it again! My party of 4 (2 parents, two adult "kids") stayed here for 3 nights, and it was perfect for us. The beds were comfy, there were plenty of towels/washcloths, as well as paper products (so many places don't provide tissues or paper towels!), plenty of seating areas. The only "cons" are small: not many English-speaking TV channels; only one towel rack in the bathroom (could be one by the mirror/sink for hand towels); would like a mirror in the smaller bedroom; and it's up 3 flights of stairs, but they are easy to walk up. Location is PERFECT, very close to shops and restaurants and Chateau Frontenac (we decided to walk from the train station, not knowing it was almost all up-hill (dragging our <40 lb suitcases), won't do that again). It was a little noisy because it's close to a busy street; one morning we were awoken by construction noises at 6 am, which was annoying, but that's not the apartment's fault. Would stay here again!

Location location location!

  • 5 of 5

This lovely, well-equiped condo was in the most perfect location! A short block to L'hotel Frontenac and the lovely panoramic views of the city from the boardwalk and a charming walk to the St. Jean and the St. Louis gates. We enjoyed walking to all the stages for the Festival D'ete music. Amenities provided were exceptional - laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, spices, and plastic wrap were even provided! All the details have been thought of to provide a comfortable and easy stay. Note: they aren't joking about the number of stairs to access the flat though! All that said, I would highly recommend this property to anyone. And if my review doesn't convince you, the honest, attentive responses of the owner and property manager will!

Home Away From Home, Within the Old City Walls

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is wonderful! Our family stayed here for two weeks in Dec. 2013. It was super clean, quiet, organized, and comfortable, and unexpectedly had all the supplies we could have needed. We immediately felt at home--and that's saying a lot; it didn't feel like we were in someone else's space. The beds were comfortable, and we had plenty of room to relax. Though modernized, the apartment retains its historic architectural appeal.

As other reviewers said, the apartment's location is perfect, and we never needed a car. It's between main streets in the old city and doesn't get the tourist traffic (cars or pedestrians) that the streets around it do. Most grocery stores are within a 10-minute walk (many cafes and restaurants are closer, including Aux Anciens Canadiens a few doors away), and there is also a mini-grocery next door on the ground floor. We felt more like residents of the city than visitors.

We were in town during a cold snap--below zero much of the time, not including wind chill--and the apartment is especially suited for winter comfort. Besides easily staying warm, it was very nice to have the private entry on the third floor so that we could keep all our outdoor gear away from the living space. And with the main space on the fourth floor, we weren't bothered by the noisy snow removal equipment during the nights, which would have been impossible to sleep through had we been nearer to the street.

The property manager and owner were very welcoming, kind and genuine, and the price couldn't be beat. We usually stay in vacation rentals when we travel, and this apartment was by far the best. We'd love to return!
