Activities::
A reasonably-priced trolley travels full length of the 7 mile island & off-island (both ends). It also travels off-island to Lovers' Key State Park 1 1/2 miles from condo which has launching ramp, beach, kayaks, bait, snacks. Walk to Fishtale Marina across blvd. from condo for boat rentals, charters, ships' store, eco tours & a waterfront restaurant. Walk 3/4 mile to the 4-plex movie theatre & snacks or meals available for purchase. Movie rentals at North end of beach; charter/bridge fishing & shrimp right off boats, para sailing, & Sea-Do's are available near north end of island. Two casino gambling boats sail twice daily, food for purchase. Ft Myers Beach's Library near North end of the island has a small guest fee for visitors. There is a full gym & bike/motor scooter rentals near north end. Two miniature golf courses & bowling alley are just off-island. Publix super market 3 minutes by car. Pharmacy, shopping mall w/restaurants, beauty shop, post office across blvd.
Condo amenities::
Tiled entry & kitchen, central A/C with new digital thermostat, ceiling fan in dining area, 3 Phones, appliance/ electric/plumbing service contract in force to fix those pesky repairs without delay.
Cook on the outside gas grills in the BBQ area , picnic tables and shuffleboard court available.
Above the main office bldg. is a kitchen and meeting room for in-season activities such as group exercise, movies, and social gatherings, especially on Fridays at 5 pm when all are invited to bring hor'derves & their own drinks. There is a limited book exchange library in the building. Some adult books in the apartment.
More Activities::
Tennis court is 1 1/2 blocks away (key is on key board in kitchen). Bring your own racket (some tennis balls in guest closet). Hammerhead gym at north of island.
Swim laps in the morning at the pool. Key to pool is on key rack. The key is made especially for the pool and, if lost, there will be a $25 charge for key replacement (inventoried before each tenant).
Inexpensive trolley service on and off the island with a nearby boarding spot. Check drawer in master bedroom desk drawer for maps, brochures & bus schedules (call for updated schedule).
There are local VFW & American Legion Posts, bowling alley & 2 miniature golf courses just off the the island.
A community center and pool are located at the north end just past the school sign (see pictures).
Shopping in multiple places along the island. Ask about the outlets and Edison Mall for that massive urge. Businesses being open is not guaranteed by the condo owner. Take a look in advance before making plans.
Other Activities:
sea bird watching; ask about location of activities checked. May be in vicinity but off site.
