Wow! Million dollar views, immaculate, amazing!!

Thank you Wendy and Philip for your welcoming, kind and professional hospitality. We have always found it so easy to contact you directly and liaise regarding properties, dates etc. We have had the absolute pleasure of spending many holiday breaks in either 'Neptune' or 'Meridian' - they are both as comfortable as each other. The moment we drive into the courtyard we smile in anticipation of what we know is to come ........ immaculately clean, beautifully made up comfortable beds, efficient heating and cooling, well equipped kitchen, comfortable and cosy sofas and of course the amazing views. Breakfast is usually served on the balcony, there is no better way to start the day! Direct access to the walking path that follows the coastline and a short stroll to the main street of Port Elliot means that there is always something to do. You are able to board the steam train and travel in either direction to Goolwa or Victor Harbour and there are many great shops and cafés to visit. We have holidayed in this beautiful home in summer and winter and loved every minute of it. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a memory-book holiday. D&K

Neptune, a great place to stay

We found the Neptune holiday apartment a perfect to place to stay to get away from the normal busy life we lead. It is well appointed, and very close to the local beaches, a wonderful walk around the headland to Horseshoe Bay as well as the local shopping precinct. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go; a real pleasure for us being able to leave the car behind under shelter. With great views of the ocean and being a little protected from the cold southerly winds, we will certainly keep this holiday accommodation in mind when next we take a break at Port Elliott.

Perfect Family Get Away on the Fleurieu

Encounter Holiday Rentals provide a home away from home in an idealic location. The properties are always well presented, maintained and comfortable for that family get away. We have been holidaying in these properties for the past 10 years and the owners Phillip and Wendy provide exceptional customer service and are always available to assist. Home away from home in a sensational location.

Neptune's location was even better than we'd expected. The views were amazing and ever-changing. We spent many relaxing hours soaking up the sights and sounds of the ocean, all from the comfort of our 'home away from home'.

We love the 'feel' of Neptune - (it's a testament to the care you put into presenting your properties) - and its proximity to great walks, beaches and food.

Owner's Response: Neptune is located overlooking Knight's Beach just 300m or so to Horseshoe Bay. The sunsets are spectacular as well as the ever changing seascape and possibility of whale, dolphin and seal sightings from the balcony depending on the seasons. We offer 24 hour customer service (not answering machines) and strive to always keep our homes well maintained. They are guaranteed to be clean on arrival with gorgeous linen and king sized fluffy towels from a professional linen service. The accommodation at Neptune is superb. Everything is there and is really a home away from home. The view from the lounge room is sensational and so close to the beach. Our stay was way too short but we'll definitely be back.

We've stayed at another property run by "Encounter Holidays Rentals" a number of times so I knew we wouldn't be disappointed.

Fantastic Stay!

My partner and I had a brilliant weekend at Neptune. The layout is lovely and clean and the furnishings are great and cheerful!! The kitchen is very modern and well stocked. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the waves and spending the afternoon relaxing on the balcony. A highlight was seeing a pod of dolphins swimming across from Victor Harbor. Considering that the worst thing was that the bed was a bit too firm for our liking, the place is definitely to be recommended.

Owner's Response: Neptune is a gorgeous home with spectacular views, central to everything in Port Elliot. Thank you for your comment about the bed. Beds are a very personal thing. We accommodate guests of all ages, shapes, sizes and weights and so we cant please everyone. We use Hotel Motel deluxe beds made here in Adelaide by local manufacturer Supercraft bedding. They are top quality beds and kept up to date. In fact we have many repeat guests who stay with us specifically because they like the beds and they suit their bad backs etc. Please contact us if you have specific requirements so we can advise the best home (and bed) for you.
