I own two almost identical apartments.
Midtown Flats is a centrally located townhouse comprising two separate oversized 4 bedroom apartments each with large living rooms, dining rooms and fully equipped kitchens. The properties cater to families and groups of friends looking for a midtown Manhattan location with all the comforts and amenities of home living.
The upper and a lower apartments are almost identical in their layout and furnishings and were completely gut renovated and modernized in 2013, everything is brand new from the bathrooms to the kitchen to the furniture. Each of the apartments is an oversized duplex and boasts approximately 2000 Square feet (186+ sq meters) of living space. Unlike most New York apartments each apartment is set up with generous common areas allowing your downtime to be a great social experience with friends and family. The apartments are a mix of old world charm and new contemporary flair, complimented by high ceilings, oversized windows, marble fire mantels and brick walls.
Each apartment features four generously sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each of the four bedrooms has comfy queen sized bed with brand new linens including down comforters with 100% high thread count cotton duvet covers and over flowing with pillows. The open living/dining/kitchen area has plenty of seating and a wall mounted plasma screen television. There is a separate dining area with a large table that can seat 8 comfortably. The kitchen is open format with a kitchen island with additional counter seating.
Each apartment has a laundry area with a washer & dryer, iron and ironing board as well as drying racks. All bathrooms have bathtubs and shower featuring tile walls and floors for a clean look and hygienic environment.
The apartments are professionally cleaned before your arrival and uncluttered.
ABOUT THE BUILDING
The building is a beautiful turn of the century old world townhouse that has been completely renovated and modernized in 2013. The building contains only two apartments, an upper apartment and a lower apartment. Each apartment has its own private gated entrance. There is no elevator within the building.
Because there are only two units located within the building this vacation rental is considered a legal rental. Make yourself aware of the rental laws in NYC. Beware as most apartment rentals in NYC are ILLEGAL since they are located within a larger building containing 3 apartment units or more. We booked this apartment for a family holiday to New York City and couldn't have chosen a better place to call home for 2 weeks! This gorgeous brownstone is beautifully presented and we were so impressed with how spacious and comfortable the apartment was. Everyone was expecting something much smaller for NYC! The location is fantastic for those wanting to enjoy Broadway, Central Park, Times Square and 5th Avenue shopping. There are endless dining options within walking distance and 9th Avenue has a great variety of fantastic restaurants. Lisa was a pleasure to deal with and nothing was ever too much trouble. She even provided a christmas tree stand and ornaments so we could have a Christmas Tree. Highly recommend this apartment and guarantee you won't be disappointed! We are from Australia and it might be a long time before we return to NYC, but if we do, we would definitely stay here again!!
The apt was just as described. Our family really enjoyed staying there as the location was convenient for all our activities. Lots of good very small restaurants and bars within a block or two. I would recommend it.
The apartment was fantastic, in Hells Kitchen area where you can try all the delights that it offers. Close to supermarkets Amish Foods good quality. You won't want for anything with this apartment has all what you need. Four doubled bedrooms, beds were comfortable and large rooms. Having seperate toilets from bathroom good thinking! Walking distance to Time Square and Broadway with subway a block away! It is a home away from home and I would recommend this a 100 percent. As New York is a city that nevers sleeps it can be quite noisy so good ear plugs will be need!
we (4 adults, 4 children 12-16) had a great stay in your beautiful flat. All was excellent and spaciously. Information and communication were perfect! We can recommend without a stint.

We absolutely loved this place! We were four couples (the husbands were all brothers) traveling to the city to celebrate our anniversaries. The location of this property was perfect and within walking distance to so many of the sights that we wanted to see. It was also spacious enough that we didn't feel like we were on top of each other all the time. The bedrooms were incredibly large and there was plenty of seating for all 8 of us. At the end of the trip, everyone said they would definitely stay here again if we do another trip to NY.
Lisa was very responsive when we contacted her, and always responded within 24 hours. Prior to booking this location I had inquired at several other properties that met our requirements (4 bedrooms, minimum of 2 baths, location, etc). Lisa was the only one who responded to my inquiries. Others used automated email responses, but whenever I had a follow-up question I could never get a response - even if I called. Just adding this as a caution to others. If I hadn't been able to reserve this property with Lisa, I was considering a trip to NY just to confirm the validity of a property before booking...
High-end VRBO in the Theatre District and within walking distance to many NYC tourist attractions with great subway access for those wanting to travel beyond.
All the bedrooms are spacious with hotel-quality linens. Plenty of hot water for those rotating showers and the bathroom design helps to maximize shower time.
The kitchen has high-end appliances in good working order and there is ample good quality cutlery and dishes for guests.
The large living/dining area has plenty of seating space.
As with all vacation properties some things may not suit all but Lisa is readily available to address any issues guests may have.
We had a fantastic time exploring exploring the sights, attending theatre and enjoying NYC from this great accommodation and would definitely rent it again if we are lucky enough to return to New York. Overall, a great property.
