Overview

Mid City House Rental Photos and Description

house, 3 bedrooms + other (see description). 1.5 baths, sleeps(2-8)

Located in the heart of New Orleans in the very central, desirable and especially safe City Park Triangle neighborhood and decorated by one of the city's most creative interior designers, this house is full of surprises and features 1.5 baths and 3 bedrooms, one with a king bed and, the other two with queen beds. All rooms have flatscreen tvs with Netflix included.

Update: Sorry for the lack of exterior pictures, they are coming soon. I like to think the reviews speak for themselves, but I promise though that it's just as charming as the inside:)

About the place: The main entrance to City Park/ Museum of Art is only 2 blocks away, the Canal Street Car is 5 blocks away, the fairgrounds a 10 minute walk and the French Quarter is only 7 minutes away by car. The house has wireless internet, an open and full kitchen, a charming porch where you can enjoy breakfast/ watching neighbors walk their dogs in a neighborhood which probably has the nation's highest per capita concentration of pet owners!

The house is in a quiet residential area and parties are not permitted at this location, nor are outside guests without owner approval. I know you'll have a great stay here and in case you were wondering - yes, that is a giant metal pelican eating a fish that you see in the background in the hallway!

About Mike

Hi all! Thank you for looking at my profile. I've become something of a vacation rental veteran now with a few year's experience hosting guests from around the world under my belt. There are always a few exceptions, but overall it has been a truly wonderful experience, one that's allowed me meet some great people and provide an excellent vacation for the many friends and families who have come to stay in this great city.

As an avid traveler myself, I am keenly aware of some of the difficulties of getting a nice place that is as advertised, in a good location, with a host who is dependable and who can help you answer many of the questions involved in trip planning. I can share a lot of my travel experiences as well as my expertise on the great city of New Orleans, as having lived here for over half my life, I have plenty to share if interested. Some of my interests include reading, art, health, cooking and as mentioned, meeting new people.

I am a licensed real estate agent in New Orleans but I have done a little of everything from interpreting and painting to landscaping and interior design. With my diverse background and all the rental activity I've seen, I decided to get my real estate license and haven't looked back since.

This all being said, if you have any questions at all about me, about my place or about the great city I live in, please don't hesitate to contact me! I'll look forward to hearing from you.

Loved everything about it!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our stay in this house. The location was perfect, the house is wonderful and we were blessed with the best weather (not that that had to do with rental). Mike was great to deal with, public transportation was just a few blocks away and the easiest way to get around. House well stocked with everything you could possibly need (except food, haha). Would recommend this house 100%

Beautiful!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

The house was amazing! Had a girls vacation with 4 of us and it was the perfect size and layout. Everything was clean and inviting. The house is decorated like a museum and you can literally walk around for hours just admiring the decor. The beds were the BEST!!!! Easy access to the bus line or the streetcar so we never needed a car. The nights that we needed a taxi, the price was reasonable because it was close to everything you want to see. Neighbors were friendly and the neighborhood was quiet but not so quiet that you couldn't laugh and have fun. Thank you for sharing your house! A total relaxing vacation place. We will definitely be back again!

Great location -- excellent accommodations, very nice owner

  • 5 of 5

This was our first visit to NOLA -- the house was exactly as presented in the photos; we had everything we needed. The house was clean and the bedrooms large, comfortable and well appointed, with tons of closet space. Located near city park and a short walk to the Canal Streetcar, this was the perfect place to use as our base to tour New Orleans. Lovely, quiet neighborhood. Would recommend and would stay here again. Owner Mike responded immediately to our questions; very helpful.

first visit to NOLA

  • 5 of 5

Had a fantastic time in NOLA. The house was great. Bedrooms were large and well appointed with a lot of closet space for 3 women! Hoyse very well maintained ans we had everything we needed to cook when we chose to. Walking distance to the Canal streetcar as well as Panera Bread, a Winn Dixie and Pinkberry. Great location for home base to explore New Orleans. Would stay here again and would certainly recommend it to others

Great location and super helpful owner

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this great spot in June and loved it. We had my mother in law and two kids with us and were able to get everywhere without a car. We accidentally left our passports in the house after we locked up and Michael quickly came to help us out. I was hoping to stay here again this March but it was already booked. However, Michael again helped me out by giving info about another place we were looking at.

Festive accommodations!

  • 5 of 5

The house was a perfect place to enjoy NOLA! Near the City Park and public transportation. We enjoyed a trolley ride down canal street and inveritably met and engaged in conversations with friendly locals.

The house was very charming and provided all necessities for a stress free vacation. We all slept very well in the comfy beds and quiet neighborhood!
