Welcome to McKenzie's Lodge at Crystal Mountain! A new addition to Crystal Mountain's home rental market, this wonderfully decorated, spacious year-round vacation home is perfect for families, reunions, weddings, golf/ski outings, or a relaxing couples weekend. Centrally located at Lot #38 in The Club, you're only steps away from the restaurants, water park, pro shop and ski lifts of the main resort, yet far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of one of the best wooded lots at the resort. With three levels of living space, there's plenty of room to relax. Enjoy your morning coffee on one of two decks, with lots of outdoor seating. The main floor offers a large, open floor plan, 42' LCD TV with HD channels and Blueray/DVD player, and Sony Ipod/Ipad/Iphone music player. Enjoy the use of the fully stocked kitchen with all the modern amenities of home, including a child's high chair. All bedrooms have ceiling fans, extra pillows, blankets. Equipped with central air, high speed wireless internet, and a new custom fire pit. Enjoy complimentary resort shuttle transportation.

The kids can have fun in the finished rec room with TV, Nintendo Wii game system with loads of games, and DVD library for rainy days or quiet evenings. Family room LCD TV is connected to the internet, so bring your Netflix ID and password. If you enjoy evening fires, there's complimentary wood with three options depending on your preference: an indoor, authentic wood burning stove, a cozy chiminea (outdoor fireplace) on the main deck, and a custom built fire pit nestled in the woods. A Wonderful Ski Vacation!

We stayed at Mckenzie's lodge for a relaxing ski weekend and we had a blast! The description was spot on - super clean, comfortable and enough room for our group of 8 to spread out. The kids enjoyed watching movies and playing video games in the basement, and loved the foosball table. It was so relaxing to come home from skiing and make a fire in the wood stove. We were able to leave our equipment in the garage, and grab it the next morning on our way out, which was very convenient. Having shuttle passes was great. We called the front desk and the bus was at the driveway in front of the house in 5 minutes. It was SO much easier than driving, parking, and dragging our gear to the slopes. The best part was that we saved a ton of $$$ compared to renting a similar size property through the resort, and the location was even better than some of the resort's properties. No doubt we will be back at mckenzies lodge!

Fun Fall Weekend!

This was our 3rd trip to Crystal for a Fall weekend, and 1st time staying at a private home on the resort. We normally stay at one of the resort properties, but found homes to be much more reasonably priced. McKenzie's Lodge was outstanding - very clean, comfortable, and plenty of room for 8 of us. The home met all our expectations. Loved the location. We walked to the Wild Tomato restaurant for coffee each morning. Had great weather, so we really enjoyed the chairlift ride up to the top of the mountain for a drink and to watch the sun set. Great bonfire pit, and plenty of wood! The guys loved the two golf courses, and the kids really enjoyed the alpine slide and the ice cream hut in the center of the resort. All in all, a wonderful vacation home!

LOVED THE PLACE!

We head to a Northern MI resort for a couples golf outing every year, and this was our 1st trip to Crystal. What a lovely area! The entire resort was so clean, well manicured, and the staff everywhere was great! McKenzies lodge was perfect for our group. I was a little skeptical about the other reviews, but they were very accurate! Great resort home... clean, comfy, and plenty of amenities for couples and/or families. So glad we brought our bikes... the Benzie Valley Trail was awesome! The golf courses (and the Thistle Pub) were outstanding! We spent all our time between the kitchen, huge family room and the deck. Great times catching up with friends we hadn't seen in a while. Overall a great time and a great stay at McKenzies Lodge!
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
Owner's Response: McKenzie's Lodge is very close to the pro shop for you golfers. We're within easy walking distance to the Kinlochen, which houses the pro shop, Thistle Pub, and an outdoor eatery in the Summer. Be sure to check Crystal's website for golf packages - last Summer they had family golf nite packages several days a week. It's a great opportunity to get the whole family on the course for 9 holes, and they include hot dogs and soda's for the kids.

Had a wonderful time at this home!

This was our first trip to Crystal Mountain, and we will definitely be back! We were vacationing with my family (two kids, 6 and 10) and my brother's family (3 kids, 4, 8, and 9), and we had plenty of room in this home. The kids loved playing the Wii in the basement TV room (loved the Guitar Hero!), while the adults spent many hours relaxing on the huge deck. The home was very nicely appointed - new kitchen appliances, comfy couches, even an extra fridge in the garage (which we needed, since we cooked nearly every night). We had a couple of rainy days, so the DVD library and games and puzzles came in very handy, since we had a houseful of kids. Loved the rustic log furtniture in the bedrooms! The location was excellent - about a 5 minute walk to the resort center, but just far enough away to enjoy peace and quiet amongst all the tall trees. We highly recommend McKenzies Lodge - it more than met our expectations!

What a Great Place to Stay!!!

We enjoyed our vacation at Mackenzie's Lodge. It was super clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. It combines the best of both worlds, being minutes from the heart of Crystal's resort and activities to having the space to spread out and enjoy your home away from home in the woods. We loved sitting on the deck, relaxing and taking in the view. It was very quiet. There is so much to do for the whole family. The kids enjoyed many hours at the pool, alpine slide, tubing on the Platt river and riding their bikes around the resort daily. We highly recommend taking a chair lift ride to the top of the mountain to listen to music and enjoy the spectacular views that make Michigan so great. Hopefully you can catch a sunset or two. Thanks for providing such a wonderful place to stay, we look forward to staying at Mackenzie's Lodge again.
