The Cottage at Coral Bay is fully equipped and newly renovated. It has a comfortable living/dining room and a large, fully equipped kitchen. The sleeping loft is accessed by a ship's ladder and it has a queen size bed. There is a futon sofa bed in the living room. Across the entire front of the cottage is a deck with stunning views of Coral Bay Harbor and the islands beyond.
The cottage is very private and quiet as it is surrounded by gardens and trees. It is accessed by shell and stone steps from a paved parking area adjacent to the main house below.

Our trip to St John was amazing. From the Treetop Cottage to the locals, I really felt welcomed and at home. The place was very clean. Everything we needed. We had two beach towels left for us to use and I thought that was so wonderful. We even had coffee filters that we could use in the pantry. The bay that the house is located on is so peaceful and quiet. I loved every second of staying at the Treetop Cottage. If you love birds, please place a bowl of sugar water out for them. I loved watching them and eventually they started trusting us and would come get a drink while we were on the porch. The best thing to do when you are on St John is to visit every beach. Snorkel the salt ponds, Francis Bay, Trunk, and the Mangroves. We rented a kayak for a day and kayaked Hurricane Hole! AMAZING! Visit Ital Delroy Anthony, "the coconut man" as we called him. He is an awesome local who is very creative and fun to talk to & he will sell you a delicious coconut. Also, you have to hike Ram Head. I miss St John because it one of the most wonderful places I have ever traveled. The cottage did have a list of things they recommend you do. Annie is so very nice and responds to emails quickly. When we return, we will be staying at The Treetop because I doubt I would find another place as PERFECT as it was.
The Tree Top Cottage is a perfect getaway for two. The location in Coral Bay is great. Dont be afraid of the steep hillls. Even in the rain,in a rear wheel drive car, we were able to get up the hill just fine. The views are phenomenal. Pictures don't do it justice. Everything you need is in the cottage. The kitchen is well equipped. Try and get up early at least once to catch the morning sunrise! Put some sugar in a small bowl with water out on the deck and you can have your morning coffee with some of the local birds. You won't regret your choice to stay at the Tree Top Cottage. it's Awesome!!!
The views are incredible! We spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking Coral Bay. It is a darling, charming cottage for two. We ate a lot of our meals in the well equipped kitchen and just enjoyed all that the cottage had to offer. We loved the food at Lucy's, Tourist Trap and our favorite beach was Salt Pond. Crabby's right down at the end of the road rented snorkeling equipment at a reasonable cost and Coral Bay was beautiful! Annie and Kaaren took very good care of us. We would return without hesitation. We loved it!
Spent a week in the Treetop Cottage last month and it was a great vacation. The cottage was well-stocked and well-kept. You probably should have a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get up the hill, especially when it rains, though all the roads are paved. The place is well situated for the Coral Bay area and the view is wonderful from the porch while drinking your morning coffee or having a glass of wine at sunset.
The place is small and not meant for more than two people and the bedroom is an open loft, but that is clear in the description. Nothing negative at all to say about the place. We had a great time and it's a wonderful place for a couple on a modest budget!
We had an amazing stay at the Treetop Cottage! It felt like home for those 5, all too brief days. The cottage had everything we could have possibly wanted and the views were incredible. It was our first trip to St. John and Annie provided us with all the information we needed in advance of our trip. Once we arrived, we had the pleasure of meeting Kaaren, Treetop's care taker, who was SO helpful! She gave us several tips on places to visit and ways to spend our day. She essentially planned one of our days for us and it was our favorite day on the island! Now we're back in cold, snowy Boston but we can't wait to visit St. John again.
My husband and I just got back from 5 days at Treetop Cottage, and we would absolutely recommend the cottage to anyone going to Coral Bay, as it has the perfect location. It's a five minute walk (straight downhill) to Crabby's, Aqua Bistro, Sweet Plantains, and Lucy's Market. The views from the deck were amazing. We spent every morning drinking coffee, visiting with our very (very) friendly bird friends, and just watching the bay.
Annie was really helpful in getting us details before we left, and her directions were amazing. I still can't believe we found the place in the dark; we owe it all to Annie's directions. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed on our vacation. Kaaren checked in on us to make sure everything was okay, and it was.
We went to a different beach every day, and one of the things I loved about the location was the proximity to the less-populated beaches south of Coral Bay. The beaches were truly paradise.
Treetop was a great value, and we would definitely recommend it for two people.
