TREETOP COTTAGE WITH BEAUTIFUL VIEWS

We stayed 5 nights at the cottage and it was really a great place to stay on St John. On the quieter side but everything is so easy to get to on the island. The cottage was well equipped and cozy, we didn't feel like it lacked anything. Enjoyed several evenings on the porch with a cocktail!

My wife and I spent a week at Treetop and loved it. We found it to be a perfect size for 2 people w/a nice open feel. The porch was a great place to have breakfast/read and had a really nice view of the Bay. We would definitely recommend a Jeep w/4-wheel drive for anyone staying here, as the road up to the place is quite steep (as are most of the roads on the island). Annie (owner) and Kaaren (property manager) were both quite helpful in providing info about St. John. There were a few really nice restaurants within walking distance just at the bottom of the hill (e.g., Sweet Plantains + Aqua Bistro) as well as a place to rent snorkel/kayak gear (Crabby's) and a convenience store (Lucy's Market). Coral Bay itself was nice and laid back, and certainly preferable to Cruz Bay if you're less interested in shops/amenities + more interested in being somewhere less built up, although on nights when there was live music downtown, it could be a bit loud. We spent our week snorkeling/hiking and there were a lot of great places to do both within 10-15 minutes of Treetop. We would certainly stay here again if we get a chance to return to St. John.

We stayed at Treetop Cottage in March 2012 and had a great time! Cottage is small, but more than adequate for two people. Kitchen has everything you might need and gas grill was nice to have as well. Cooler, beach chairs and umbrellas were great extras at the cottage and we used them every day. Sunrise views from the deck were spectacular! Plenty of room to store belongings up in the loft, and ladder up to the loft was plenty sturdy. We loved the location of the cottage, just up the hill from Coral Bay, within walking distance to several restaurants. The Coral Bay side of the island is so relaxed, which we loved. We hope to come back soon, I have the itch to return already!!
