We are a family owned vacation rental business. The Bluebird Bungalow cottage is nestled in the woods behind our home and is surrounded by native trees, plenty of songbirds, butterflies and peace and quiet like you have never experienced. The Blue Bird Bungalow has two bedrooms with queen bed in master and full size bed in second bedroom. Covered deck with ramp and all doors inside are wheelchair accessible. The deck also has a grilling area for enjoying a meal outdoors, or a comfortable area to enjoy the evening air.

Cozy Cabin in a Lovely Setting

Looking for nearby accommodations to attend a family wedding in November of last year, we happened upon Mel and Patty's property and we are so happy that we did. Not only was the cottage clean, modern and nicely decorated but the location was outstanding: close to all major attractions and nestled in a shady wooded setting. We found the attention to detail exceptional and and the hospitality the same. From the welcome basket including homemade cookies starting our weekend to the hand made bird house given to us upon our departure our weekend at Flat Rock was a nice as it could be.
We would recommend Backyard Cottages to anyone interested in visiting Flat Rock and will definitely stay there if we return to the area.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, People with Disabilities, Romantic Getaway
