Clearlake Cabin Rental Photos and Description
Cabin, 2 bedroom + convertible bed(s), 1 bathroom, sleeps 6
80+ years ago when this log cabin was originally built, hundreds of cabins dotted the lake shore and surrounding mountains, but today, this historic building is the only such family cabin on Clearlake that you can rent to relive that backwoods experience. Located on a five acre private resort in secluded honeymoon cove.
Our Family Cabin was quite large for cabins built in it's day, and includes three rooms. The front room is a large open dining room and living room with a Murphy bed hidden in the wall. On the right is kitchen, updated a bit but still rather vintage. In the back is a large bedroom with both a sofabed and another Murphy bed that comes down from the wall. Both rooms have lake views and connect to a bathroom with a claw foot tub.
Ideal for small children as the lake has a gradual entry into the lake and they don't have to dive off a dock or wall to get into the water.
- children welcome
- non smoking only
- pets considered
About Ron Rosberg
I purchased honeymoon cove resort as a friends and family weekend retreat in 1970, and last year, I retired and built my dream house on one end of this six-acre property and now live up here full time. I have maintained three of the original cabins, updated a bit, mostly for guests who have been coming up here for many years.

Why Ron Rosberg chose Clearlake
I originally wanted to buy a home, and never dreamed that honeymoon cove resort would be for sale, but the original owner was getting up in years and told me he wanted to sell. Honeymoon cove is THE most secluded and beautiful place on Clearlake, directly across the Mt Konocti, the absolute best view on the the lake.
What makes this cabin unique
As I write this, I realize that I haven't seen a boat out my window in over an hour. The lake is calm and just a few birds dot the clear blue sky. Konocti Harbor Inn across the lake is between owners right now, so while there are no amphitheater concerts on the weekend right now, there are also no jet skis out on the lake today. It is like owning your own private lake with a 100 miles of shoreline.
