Charming light-filled apartment tranquil and quiet in the heart of a lively neighborhood full of culture and history. Located on Rue des Boulangers, a historic short cobblestoned street on the Roman hill of Lutece, it is the most convenient of locations.
Steps away are a bank and ATM, bakeries, grocery stores, post office, shops, cafes and restaurants. You can find everything you need within just a few blocks. In addition to stores, three open markets within a 5 minute walk afford shopping for food, flowers and more every day of the week (Rue Moufftard, Place Monge and Place Maubert). Many of the most pretigious universities of Paris are in walking distance as are the beautiful gardens of the Arene de Lutece, Jardin des Plantes and Jardin Luxembourg. There is a gym and pool that offers daily and weekly memberships nearby (Rue Pontoise).
Just down the street is the Boulevard St. Germain and the Seine at the Quai de la Tournelle (location of the famous restaurant Tour D'Argent) with beautiful views of the Ile St. Louis and the back of Notre Dame. It is also a short walk to the Pantheon, the Sorbonne, the Place de la Contrescarpe, the Rue Moufftard, and the Gare de Austerlitz.
With three different bus lines and two different metro lines less than a hundred yards away, all other sites of Paris are easily accessible. Check out 'Rue des Boulangers Paris' on Google maps to see how well located it is!
One reaches the apartment through an entry-coded huge wooden door and passage to our building facing the garden; then up stairs two floors. The apartment is sunny, very quiet and private with large windows in the kitchen, living and bed rooms. Because the view is of the courtyard and trees rather than other buildings, it feels very spacious. The apartment was recently painted and has refinished hardwood floors.
Art work, rugs and drapes have been added since the photos were taken. There are two new twin beds in the bedroom with a small night table between them with a lamp. These two beds can be pushed together to create a king sized bed if desired. The bedroom has a large armoire closet with drawers and a chair with a reading lamp and a large mirror. The living room has a couch that converts to a bed and a dining table with two chairs..
The bathroom has a sink with a mirror and cabinet overhead, shower, heater, and additional closet. There is a separate WC with a window. The kitchen is well equipped.
While the apartment is extremely well located for transportation around the city, with so much of historic Paris's sites, markets, parks, vibrant cafes and restaurants to enjoy nearby, you can have a fabulous time just hanging out in this neighborhood!
Keywords: easy metro access two lines, safe, many restaurants and stores nearby
My father purchased this apartment because he loved France and everything French
When I stay at the apartment I'm always amazed at the unique situation of being in such a vibrant interesting neighborhood close to so many Parisian sites yet being in a sunny quiet garden setting. It is such a pleasure to shop in the markets, make lunch and eat it looking out on the trees and garden. I can quickly get to anywhere in Paris but once I've had enough, I can retreat to this oasis. When I'm recharged, more to do is just steps away.
Amazing location, park-like and tranquil. Great bakeries and restaurants nearby. Love the internet cafe and vegetarian restaurant just ten door down the street.
This apartment is in a great location, close to everything. It is cosy and warm with everything a traveler needs. It does feel like you have stepped into someone's home because of all the little extra's provided - like the drying rack for clothes, or plenty of hangers for your clothes and certainly, lots of towels including facecloths:) Linda provided plenty of information regarding the apartment before we went and we really appreciated the Paris travel books in the apartment. We would stay here again.
We have visited Paris over a dozen times and this apartment is the best place we've stayed in.
Facing a large inner courtyard garden and off a small side street, it is extremely quiet, which is
a very special quality. There is a gourmet chef lurking somewhere as there was most every cooking
utensil one would want. The fridge was large and there was an oven and microwave.
The bedroom was comfortably large and the two twin beds side by side were extremely comfortable.
A phone was also available for local calling. The owner and her local contact were immediately responsive to our requests and very helpful. There was a large library of Paris oriented tourist info and the letter sent out by the owner also contained a wealth of information with clear instructions for everything we needed. We would highly recommend this wonderful "FIND" in Paris.
a cook would want to use.
We stayed a week in Linda's apartment in the Latin Quarter. The experience was wonderful. Linda was easy to communicate with and her representative in Paris was helpful and extremely nice. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you will need for a pleasant stay. You are off the street and located above a courtyard so it was quiet we felt very safe. The location is extremely convenient to both the Metro and to many fine restaurants around the Pantheon. The connection to both airports was easy and required one short Metro connection from the RER. The description and pictures of the apartment while accurate don't reflect just how spacious and comfortable it really is. We love Paris and I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to be in the Latin Quarter. For our future trips we will definitely stay in this apartment if it is available.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day stay in this lovely apartment. Everything we could have needed was provided. We particularly appreciated the library of travel guides on the book shelves. The apartment is spacious, quiet, comfortable beds, plenty of storage, and has a fully-equipped kitchen. Easy access to two Metro stations, grocery, market, restaurants, bakery, and a terrific British pub in the Latin Quarter. We walked everywhere and enjoyed coming back for a quiet dinner at the end of the day. Many wonderful sights nearby including the Pantheon, Cluny, Notre Dame, and Luxembourg Gardens. Check out the free English walking tours by Discover Walks Paris. Marvelous way to get insider information about Paris history. This apartment is a terrific value for the money and the owner was wonderful to deal with. The apartment is even more spacious than it appears in the pictures. Can't recommend it highly enough. Wish we could return tomorrow! Thank you, Linda!
We spent a wonderful 5 weeks calling this apartment home, we were so sad to leave it and the neighbourhood, that had given us easy access to Paris and a holiday of a life time. Two metro stations within a block, a Velbi bike station 50 yards from the front door, and easy walking distance to the Seine if you wanted to explore the city by foot or Batobus. The atmosphere of the apartment and tree vista from the french windows encouraged one to sit back and relax watching the birds and autumn arrive. It was clean and comfortable, great bed ,separete toilet, and kitchen with washing machine. The neighbourhood provided all the conviences, one needed with supermarkets, bakeries restuarants, andmarkets with one always feleling safe.Linda and maryevoune made the process and stay stress free . The apartment is how it is described and presents better than the photos. We hope to return one day
My wife and I had a wonderful stay in this apartment. The location was absolutely perfect. It was as easy as can be to get everywhere in Paris. The Paris subway system is the best, and there is a subway station a half block away from the apartment. By the way, the longest we had to wait for any train was 6 minutes (most trains came within 3 minutes).
The apartment itself was clean, quiet, and comfortable. We always felt safe and right at home at the apartment. The neighborhood is full of shops, restaurants, bakeries, stores, and anything else that you need. The Latin Quarter is a wonderful place to stay, and is full of energy and vitality. Linda made the living arrangements easy for us.
My wife and I agreed that we would love to come back to Paris in the future, and that we would love to stay at this apartment again. We highly recommend it.
