Guestbook comments from the owner

Dear Scott-We tried to submit our review but were unable to do so. If you would like to submit it please feel free. Thank you for everything-we enjoyed our stay.

We planned a little wedding in Santa Fe around Christmas. My husband and I thought the house was a perfect little honeymoon retreat. We had a few family members for dinner and found the kitchen to be stocked with everything we needed. Someone with an eye for detail was in charge of the decorating. I found myself walking around taking pictures of the charming details around the house. On Christmas the courtyard was covered with a white blanket of snow. We had some minor issues with a shortage of hot water on the first day. The issue was promptly addressed and resolved by the property owner. There is a nice Whole Foods just a couple miles away. We liked shopping there and using the beautiful kitchen to cook. The surrounding area is beautiful for a walk. There are tons of locals out walking their dog's. The queen size bed is a little hard. Some of details we appreciated were the soft plush towels, soft linens, fluffy pillows, pretty dishes and utensils, Viking range, sub zero refrigerator/freezer, a nice view out every window, the humidifier, and of course the decorating.

Quiet, charming Santa Fe adobe in excellent location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Casa Tenorio with our dog for three weeks and were very happy with the rental. This adorable casita is on a very quiet, safe road in the historic east side, and you could not ask for a better location. Everything works great, including the heat, and the property is clean and well-kept.

The casita is extremely comfortable. The owners clearly put a lot of thought into what a renter might need. The house is not large--aside from the two bedrooms and two bathrooms, the living area is what you see in the photos--but it is extremely comfortable and perfectly met our needs. We really enjoyed using the kiva fireplace, and there was plenty of firewood for our use for the entire stay. The kitchen is also very-well supplied. There were bowls and plates of all sizes, and we wanted for nothing. We honestly could have had a dinner party with everything that is stocked in the cabinets. There is a refrigerator drawer and a freezer drawer as well.

We loved the beautiful decor of this home and really felt like we were having a very "Santa Fe" experience. For those who like very bright places, you should know adobe houses are darker, so if you are looking for a place bursting with sunshine, this would not be it. But Santa Fe is a sunny place, and we were happy to come back to this cozy adobe. Also, the outdoor patio is absolutely lovely if you want direct sun. I had been concerned the space would not be big enough for our large dog, but there is a long narrow strip of patio behind the house, and it was perfect for playing fetch. The patio is enclosed with very high fencing and walls so we never needed to worry about our dog getting out and also loved the privacy. We really enjoyed sitting out there during the day (even in February) to read the paper or have a cup of tea.

We also really enjoyed the extra thoughtful touches of the home, like the Bose sound system that connected via Bluetooth with our iPhones and iPads, and even the firestarters to accompany the wood for the fireplace.

We look forward to returning this wonderful retreat in the middle of Santa Fe's beautiful historic center.

Wonderful Santa Fe stay

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I have visited Santa Fe and are stay in Casa Tenorio was wonderful. The home was very well designed and very comfortable. The location was great; the Downtown Subscription coffee house was only a few hundred feet away with Canyon Road and the downtown plaza within easy walking distance. We were very impressed with how quiet the location was being so close to the center of much activity. The little courtyard was very inviting and the kiva fireplace added great atmosphere. We would highly recommend this property.

Everything you'd want in Santa Fe

  • 5 of 5

We were really impressed with this rental. The location was perfect, walking distance to Canyon Road and right around the corner from Downtown Subscription (great coffee house). The size was tight, but more than you need when visiting Santa Fe and well thought out. The living room furniture was comfortable, but the dining room chairs were not after 20 minutes or so. The best part was how well thought out the kitchen was. Often with rentals you get the bare minimums and crappy pans. This rental had a cook in mind and had quality pans, and beautiful dishes and glassware as well as things like a whisk, cheese grater, etc. The side yard was small but private and quiet as well as comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, and the linens high quality. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

I would move in if I could

  • 5 of 5

A friend and I rented the house for a girls' getaway. I chose the house for us and could not have been happier with my choice. The pictures do not do it justice. It is cozy and authentic with very nice attention to detail. The location was fantastic....close to everything we were interested in, but very private. The courtyard was beautiful. The entire place just had an air of peace and warmth surrounding it. I will mention that the queen bed is very firm. Also, if you do not like getting up with the sun, this may not be the place for you. I would have loved some blackout curtains to pull closed in the bedrooms. That being said, as much as I love to sleep in on vacation, I'd jump at the chance to stay here again, even with the 6:00 AM sunshine waking me up.

Very pleasant

  • 5 of 5

Very clean and well stocked. Appliances were of the highest quality. Very private courtyard. The queen bedroom had a quaint creaky floor and no bath. The common bathroom was very pleasantly appointed and housed the stacked washer and dryer. The full bedroom had a small ensuite bath. There is a coffee shop / newsstand about a block away. There was absolutely no traffic noise. We would eagerly choose to stay here again.
