Located in a downtown residential neighborhood in the heart of San Diego, The Cottage is situated in a private garden. The Cottage is a complete small house that contains a full bath, full kitchen, bedroom and living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, dishes, cookware, appliances and a coffee grinder. All bed, bath and kitchen linens are provided.
Solar panels provide all our electricity.
The Cottage is fully furnished. In the living room, there is a pump organ, comfortable high back chair and a Blue Max light for maximum reading enjoyment. There is a range of books for you to peruse.
Our neighborhood is considered one of the best walking neighborhoods in the United States. Within blocks you will find 30-40 ethnically diverse restaurants, a bakery, wine tasting, chocolate and dessert shops. Two miles to the south is Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, The Old Globe Theater, museums, gardens and relaxation. Before you reach the zoo, you will find yourself in Spanish Village, a community of artists.
Two miles to the west is Old Town and to the south is Little Italy where you will find more restaurants and galleries. Walking a few more blocks to the west of Little Italy you will find yourself on the Embarcadero where the Urban Trees, The U.S.S. Midway, The Maritime Museum and more restaurants will entice you to spend the day.
Walk to the north a few blocks to find yourself in the middle of the medical center of San Diego county where University of California, San Diego Hospital and Scripps Mercy Hospital are located.
