Photos and Description of the Honor vacation house rental
4 bedroom + loft, 3 full baths , Sleeps up to 18

Platte River Side, listen to the flow from the deck, rapids out the grand room sliding doors. Cabin/House for rental, just inside the Village of Honor Michigan, Sleeps up to 18 off the floor, 1 king, 4 doubles, 4 bunks, 1 single, 2 futons, 1 couch. 3 standard bedrooms and with bunk room and extra beds/futons in common areas. 3 full baths one has a Jacuzzi tub. Modern kitchen with dishwasher and ice maker, Weber and Gas Grill, local market is a good butcher.

First class trout stream within 20 ft of the back door, fly fishing is excellent. 5 Kayaks / 1 Canoe and 8 Inner Tubes to float the river, short float to downstream swimming hole (kids love it). Very close to Lake Michigan beaches inside Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Crystal Lake boat ramp 10 minutes away. Crystal Mountain Resort is a short drive south of the property.

Here is a Google map of the area I put together, and update from time to time, it shows beach locations, boat ramps, restaurants and other points of interest along with basic driving directions from lower Michigan.

Location was perfect, we love the sound of the river rushing by in the morning while drinking coffee and Nightfall we start up the bombfire with some cocktails. The house was spacious, plenty of rooms for all of us. Already planning this place as our annual family time. See you next year Plattitudes!!

We stayed at Plattitudes for four days this summer. It was a great choice for us! The home is clean and up-to-date with all the supplies one would ever need while away from home. Its location is fantastic ... right on the river and close to attractions such as Sleeping Bear Dunes and Lake Michigan. We tubed down the river to the swimming hole a couple of different nights. It was great that tubes were already supplied! They also had a great selection of games. We even found a new we loved so much we bought our own once we got home! Communication with the homeowner is top notch. Erik always answered e-mails promptly and was very helpful in recommending restaurants and "don't miss" attractions. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! I don't have anything negative to say about our stay or the house!

We, unfortunately, were only able to stay 2 nights. We are already trying to plan another visit. The house was perfectly located. Very close to Sleeping Bear Dunes and right on the river. The kids and I tubed/kayaked to the swimming hole. It was fun!! Even grandma got on the tube for a short float! The house was very roomy and had everything we needed plus more!

My family stayed at this property for one week and we had such a wonderful time. We really enjoyed the location, and the home owner provided everything we needed to enjoy the river. It is very clean and well kept. And with 19 family members, not one ever slept on the floor. He has this house set up just perfect for a large group. It is private, yet just a short drive to lake MI and Crystal lake. We enjoyed the many selection of movie on the one rainy day we had. The large deck was wonderful in the morning to drink our coffee. The river in the back yard is very nice, clean, and even the small children could have fun as it is not deep. Erik was very helpful with info about shopping, and lakes near by. If your looking for a spot to rent that is clean, and fun, I highly recommend this property.
