About Helen Casey

We are two sisters and a brother who own this home left to us by our mother. Beth and Amy live in Montana and Alan lives in Vermont. Alan's wife, Helen, handles the reservations.

Why Helen Casey chose Waynesville

For years, this home welcomed everyone in a relaxed, southern style. The house is very comfortable and at 2000 square feet is spacious. It is close to town and main roads, but sits apart with a very large yard.

Great Vacation Home

My husband and I and our 2 young children, ages 3 and 5, just spent a fabulous week at this home. My husband was doing a week long woodworking course in Canton and the kids and I wanted to go hiking in Pisgah. The house was perfect. It was close to his class but also close to Pisgah. It was just a short drive up a beautiful road to all kinds of wonderful hiking trails.

At the end of the day, the house was in a beautiful, relaxing location. The fields and mountains were gorgeous and it was fun to stay in an authentic old farmhouse. The kids loved running around the yard. Although the house is right off the main road, it is actually on a quiet side lane that was a perfect spot for me to do my evening run. The home is filled with lots of fun local art and lots of wonderful old books. It also had wonderful old toys and books for the kids.

The town of Waynesville is just down the road so it was easy to go grab dinner at all of the wonderful restaurants. Waynesville also has lots of fun little shops to explore. All in all, it was a perfect vacation in a perfect spot.

Charming Vacation Home - Close to Downtown Waynesville

My husband and I rented this charming home for a weekend. We loved how close it was to downtowon Waynesville and the Farmer's Market. We had a nice time shopping & dining downtown and liked being so close to the house that we could drive back and check on our baby dogs. We travel with our 4-legged children and appreciate the owners allowing them to come on our vacation with us. The yard was a large, private, shady lot. There is a nice fire pit and picnic table. We enjoyed sitting on the screened front porch. We would love to rent this home again for our next trip to Waynesville. The owner is very nice and wonderful to rent from. She returned our security deposit immediately.

I just wanted you to know how much we enjoyed your home, during our
stay. We all thought it was so cozy, and also so centrally located to
everything we like in the Mountains. I especially liked the library
of books. Some were so interesting, by local writers. It is really a
nice touch, to have that sort of material available, so in the
daytime, we can explore the area we read about, in the evenings.
