About Amy C. Hubbard

We are two sisters and a brother who own this home left to us by our mother. Beth and Amy live in Montana and Alan lives in Vermont. Amy will be handling the reservations in 2015.

Why Amy C. Hubbard chose Waynesville

For years, this home welcomed everyone in a relaxed, southern style. The house is very comfortable and at 2000 square feet is spacious. It is close to town and main roads, but sits apart with a very large yard.

What makes this house unique

We want to allow you to enjoy the hospitality inherent in this home as we have for many years.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I wanted you and your family to know that we really enjoyed our stay at your home. We have been coming down to Waynesville every January to see my stepchildren for several years now. We have always stayed in a motel, it was very nice to have so much room and able to cook our own meals. Your home was very clean and had so many extras to offer, we loved the record player. I hope the next time we come down it will be warmer to enjoy the large yard. Thank you for sharing your home.

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a girls getaway weekend in February. We found the house to be a great place for a gathering of friends or family. Pictures cannot depict the spaciousness. There is a wonderful gathering space in the living room and various places to escape from a crowd. We were there in the winter and did not really make use of the large lawn and outdoor area. Great place for kids to run and play. However, we did enjoy the screen porch one sunny afternoon. The view of the mountain is beautiful. Even though there is a road nearby, it is not a big deal--you definitely feel like you are in the mountains. You are out from town yet it is easy to get to restaurants or shopping. The house has everything you would need for cooking, etc. and even has things such as paper towels, dishwashing soap, and toilet paper. The towels were of excellent quality and there was a good supply of them.

We would definitely stay here again!

Great getaway, this was the first time living in this home. (Amazing) the family that owns it is wonderful. We had some great moments in this home and made a lot of memories to cherish. Beautiful mountains all around. My personal favorite was the screened in porch i sit out there for hours. Quite, peaceful and relaxing. The home had everything you could ask for. The fire pit was awesome kids made smores and played games. Hated to leave. Will be returning in 2015.

Our Favorite Destination

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed here twice and have absolutely no complaints at all. This home is so roomy and comfortable. There is plenty of room for a large family gathering or enjoy the space and atmosphere if traveling as a couple. Outside is a gas grill, a fire pit, a picnic table, several lawn chairs, a huge porch, and an enormous yard to go with all that. There is a lot of privacy but you can be in Waynesville in 10 minutes. Waynesville is a treat in itself and the restaurants are fabulous. The owners are so nice and easy to work with. A caretaker is nearby should you have any needs.

Great place to stay to see the area

  • 5 of 5

My wife and children (3 and 7) stayed at this house for three nights over spring break. Even though it was cold and rainy some of the days we had a great time. The house is centrally located to so many things, quick drives to Asheville, the Smokey Mountains, 2 miles to Waynesville. It is right off a very busy road so there is some road noise but you are located on a side street so no real traffic on your road which is nice. Huge yard to play in, all kinds of games/toys for the kids to play on cold rainy days, a gas grill to cook with, even wifi for my wife to check her email. Comfortable well stocked home with all the amenities that you need. It is an older house so just be aware of that, i.e. water pressure is low, some of the fixtures (showerheads) are older, dark walls with dim lighting, actual real dirt floor cellar, etc. Overall though a great visit and would stay there again.

wonderful home

  • 5 of 5

The house was great! We've stayed from hotels to 7 bedroom lodges in our travels but have never had a home feel so clean and inviting. We had a cold rainy weekend but were there mostly for relaxation so that is exactly what we did. We are already talking about more long weekends there.
