About Stephen Pellicano
This home has been in our family since 1982 when my parents bought it as our weekend get-a-way from NYC. I grew up in the Bronx and attended Mt. St. Michael Academy. I also attended nearby SUNY Binghamton University and in summers worked at the fabulous Zoom Flume water park. After graduation I spent a few years in NYC working as a graphic designer and now I am interested in the field massage and aromatherapy.
My favorite sport is ice hockey. I both play and watch. Recently married, so my sports are taking a bit of a back seat.

Why Stephen Pellicano chose East Durham
In 1982 my family was looking for a peaceful, natural place for weekend get-a-ways. We needed such a place because we were living in a small basement apartment in the Bronx with windows that looked out to nothing but brick walls and the bottoms of side walks.
This property was the complete opposite from where we were living. There was lots of space, forest, a huge backyard and mountain views.
It allowed me to learn about nature, experience life in the country and meet the nice people who grow the fruits and vegetables we eat and the milk we drink.
What makes this house unique
The fresh air, star gazing, personal space, fall leaves, deep great night sleeps, humming bird watching, animals like deer and turkey who walk down the driveway and through the back yard, trees, farms, thunderstorms, painted canvas sun sets and unlimited possibilities to sit around and do nothing or take a walk down the road to the Bee's Knees Cafe and have home cooked breakfast or lunch.
Guestbook comments from the owner
Stephen is a great host. he met me on arrival and showed me around his home. the deck is great. it's comfortable, quiet and very scenic. i saw deer in the yard twice and enjoyed hours just hanging outside. he has a telescope too... saw the rings of saturn... the moon up close and venus wobbling on the horizon. hiking is nearby. i did two half day hikes... wild blueberries on Windham/Blackhead! good stuff. recommended.
