Peaceful setting on the shores of Shadow Mountain Lake

I wanted to let you know what a great time we had earlier this month at the shadow mountain lake house.
The "cabin" is more like a 5 star resort with it's gourmet kitchen that has everything you need to make meals for the biggest families. We had 10 staying there and never wanted for space or ever felt crowded.
We chose this particular home because of the location to Winter Park Ski resort, and loved the skiing! I think the best part of the whole trip was coming back after a long day of skiing, only having to drive 1/2 hour, and completely leaving the hustle and bustle of the ski resort behind, along with the high restaurant prices, and crowds. The town of Grand Lake is all of 5 minutes away, and the people were great. The restaurants are not over run with the resort crowds, and the town is charming.
The home is very clean, and comfortable. The beds are all very big, very comfortable and really clean. I had the luck to stay in the room with the sleep number bed and loved it!
The loft bedroom was perfect for the kids. Bunkbeds and a queen with their own bathroom! They were in heaven.
The last thing I will mention was how beautiful the views are, overlooking the frozen lake, and the snow covered mountains every morning while drinking our coffee was the best morning wake-up ever.
We look forward to our next trip to Shadow Mountain Lake, and can't wait to have some summer fun there as well. The boating must be great, as there are a wide variety of wet suits and water toys available in the utility room too.
