This charming Historic home was built in 1761 as a summer retreat for a sea captain and his new bride. Located on a private water with a dock, this place has everything to make a memorable vacation. Relax on the deck, take a swim, kayak, fish or read on the dock....there is a fire pit and fire flies! Our home has everything you might need for a special getaway. All towels and linens are included.
We are Californians who love the East Coast. Cape Cod has given our big family a place to re-connect, have fun and chillax.
Becky Thomas purchased this house in 2001
Our home will feel like yours the minute you walk in. From the woods to the water, our home welcomes you. Everything you might need is already here. Our antique filled home makes your Cape getaway easy.
You will really enjoy being on a freshwater lake while smelling the ocean breezes. Golf, Mashpee Commons and beaches are all nearby.
This is a lovely and spacious home in a fantastic location. The pond at the base of the property is idyllic. Kayaking around it was wonderfully relaxing, watching the herons, turtles and enjoying the serenity of the venue. But it's also just a 10-15 minute drive to very nice south Cape beaches, and 5-10 minutes to numerous excellent restaurants. The pool table and barn dart room/sitting area are great for a rainy day. We hope to return!
We stayed at this house during the middle of July and had an unbelievable time! Between the large deck, yard, dock on the lake, and barn, we had a hard time leaving the property to enjoy the other wonderful things to do on the Cape.
All of the beds/bedrooms were comfortable and the house is completely stocked with any needed amenities. With plenty of room for large groups.
The property owner Becky, is incredibly helpful and offers some much welcomed flexibility with booking dates and payment options. I highly recommend this house to anyone wanting to vacation in the Cape.
For a relaxed, homey atmosphere, one would have to look long and hard to top this one. From the moment we walked in, we felt at home.
The warm, inviting family room flows nicely to the sun drenched patio complete with BBQ. The bedrooms are nicely appointed and the library offers a wide selection of books from modern to the classics to entertain on those "recharge" days of an extended vacation.
The home's location make day trips to Hyannis, Provincetown or Martha's Vineyard a breeze.
There's a multitude of great restaurants within 20 minutes of this home as well.
We thoroughly enjoyed or stay here and would absolutely stay again.
The owner, Becky made sure we had everything we needed and provided great recommendations for first timer's to the Cape.
