Very nice cozy cabin! Stocked with everything you might need, warm...We just loved it! Our month long stay was very good...mountain access roads that were explored, Yaak Valley, Glacier State Park, fishing right across the street, hiking, greetings by chickens and turkeys, oh , what a wonderful place!
We had a wonderful time at your cozy cabin retreat. Beyond functional it was comfortable and clean. The only thing I would've asked for is one more day.
The cabin and the area were wonderful! We were greeted by friendly turkeys and a gorgeous view when we arrived and inside the cabin was cozy, clean and very welcoming! Most amenities were already provided, which was helpful and much appreciated, as we had forgotten a few items. The hostess even gave us some fresh (chicken) eggs in the morning! Although the highway noise was distracting at times, it didn't seem nearly as bad as some of the reviews suggest and definitely wasn't audible inside the cabin. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. Thanks for a great weekend!
My wife and I needed a brief escape. Some time together to ground ourselves a bit and really experience some stillness and quiet. The trip there on a motorcycle was scenic and without incident - the cabin is located in some beautiful country which is entirely accessible and seeing it from the bike was a great prelude to the stay.
Road noise as mentioned by others was a non-issue. Frankly, it was so quiet at night I needed to run a fan just for the white noise so I could get some uninterrupted sleep (so much for the "quiet" part of my plan).
The rest of the package was equally positive. Every amenity we could have wanted was available (TV, DVD, washer, drier, shower/tub, firepit, grill, etc.). The pantry and fridge were well stocked. Bedding, as much as we could possibly need plus some. Cleanliness was perfect - no harsh chemical smells from overuse of cleaners, but a nice fresh, clean-house smell.
The cabin is well located in that the local attractions are within reasonable driving distance.
I wish we could have stayed longer, which is exactly why we're already looking to plan another visit early next year. Many thanks to Amanda for being such a great hostess.
Charming location. Beautiful views. Restful stay.I wanted to go back to this cabin, but sadly our plans changed. I really enjoyed the peaceful view from the front porch. Each morning and each evening the ever changing clouds over the mountains and the reflections on the water was beautiful. (Took lots of pictures) The occasional traffic didn't even bother me. The interior of the cabin was comfortable and roomy enough for four adults to stay comfortably. I couldn't get over how close we were to all kinds of neat things to do and see. We even made it to Canada. The only drawback is that you HAVE to shop for food before you get there because there isn't a Super Wal-Mart around the corner. Then again, maybe that is a plus! I would recommend the cabin to almost anyone who would like to stay a night, a week or even a month. It's a great getaway.
As a mother's day retreat, my daughter and I, along with a friend and her daughter stayed for four nights. The cabin was very comfortable, very clean, and perfect for the four of us. Enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning and evening. With highway in front of cabin, the traffic noise was NOT that bad. Maybe 2 or 3 cars a day. Enjoyed the stay so much, have reservations to stay a week in May 2015. Visited Kootenai Falls and Swing bridge, Libby Dam in Libby,Montana, and Sandpoint, Idaho. This visit will be taking my husband. The owner and manager provided very good customer service. Will and have recommended others to stay here.
Not far up the road you can visit Kootenai Falls & Ross Creek Cedars. Not to mention the Noxon Dam and the Libby Dam.You can also visit a hot spring about 70 miles up the road just outside of Paradise Montana-- Quinn's Hot Springs Resort.
