Charming, well-equipped 3BR waterfront cottage in secluded Fairhaven, near Deale on the western shore of the Chesapeake Bay. Less than 1 hr from Washington DC and Baltimore. On Cove Creek nature preserve, by the open Bay, with water on three sides. Wildlife and crabs galore. A short walk from the sandy beach at Owings Cliffs--a super place for swimming and for kids to have fun. Sleeps 6. One and a half acre lot, very peaceful, huge deck where you can enjoy the sound of many species of birds as you take your morning coffee, crab pots, fishing, dinghy or bring your own boat. Twenty miles south of historic Annapolis and four miles south of Deale, with its old world charm and crab restaurants; close also to North Beach, with its restaurants and boardwalk.

This was our first exploration of the Bay area. Unusually high tides were occurring during our three day stay so that upon arrival the river and bay were in the yard near the deck. This provided an up close and personal view of marine life. Our twelve year old had a blast catching the schools of minnows that swam up into the yard. The house had the customary characteristics and charms of an older home but was comfortable and pleasant. The breeze that flowed through the house was wonderful. The nearby beach was great as was the very large and private deck. Since we were the first renters, there were issues but they were swiftly resolved with the utmost concern for our comfort and convenience. Theresa was very helpful in getting us acquainted with nearby restaurants and attractions. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay and would love to come again and stay longer.
