Inn Cahoots is owned by two sisters (Bebe and Sarah) and their husbands (Larry & Kelly) and was built as a place for family and friends to gather, relax, and 'hide' from the busy world.
Ft Morgan is the perfect vacation destination for many reasons (yes, we are bias). Even in the summer season our area of coast is quiet so you can set on the beach all day and just relax. Or go to the Beach Club to maintain your exercise routine or swim. Or 15 minutes to downtown Gulf Shores for food, shopping, and taking in the local festivities.
This house was fantastic and perfect for our group of 15. The set up with bedrooms and bathrooms in each corner gave each family their separate space. We loved coming together for meals and all sitting together at the huge dining table. The view and proximity to the beach exceeded our expectations. We could enjoy the ocean and the waves from the deck, and only had to cross the small gravel road to get to the private boardwalk. It was nice not to have to worry about traffic on the road for the kids.
The kitchen was the best equipped out of any rental I have been in. We cooked every night and were not lacking of any kitchen tool. There were plenty of dishes, glasses, and silverware.
The living space also has a bunch of games, puzzles, books and movies that appealed to all ages in our group.
The only negative was that we didn't expect that we would have to pay for use of the beach club. It was a small fee considering our large group and worthwhile, we just didn't anticipate it when we made the reservation. It is also not very convenient to grocery stores.
That being said, it was very nice not to be surrounded by condos. The beach was very serene and quiet. The temps in late December ranged from 50 on the coldest day to 70 on the warmest day. We had a blast and would definitely consider coming back!
The house is nicely equipped with children's movies, beach toys, puzzles, games, and even a kid-sized picnic table on the screened porch. The area is very quiet and set back from the highway. Cabana Beach Estates is a very friendly neighborhood. Like other reviews, I can only say that the house is not beachfront and beach views were limited, but the boardwalk made traveling back and forth easier. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (even though it rained the majority of the time!).
Title: March 2013 Spring Break at Inn Cahoots
Date of arrival: 3/31/13
The house was wonderful and handled our family of 15 people just fine. Everything in the house worked good and we were comfortable. Access to the beach was easy and the beach was superb. Sitting on the deck in the evening or morning was great. It was a quiet area. We had access to the condominium club and pool. Access to the town of Gulf Shores was also good.
Three families were looking for a place in Gulf Shores to vacation for Spring Break. Inn Cahoots was the ideal place. The house was immaculate when we arrived. It was spacious and very well equipped to handle the 16 people advertised in the listing. Everything in the listing was accurate and the added benefit of the use of the Beach Club next door was great. The close proximity to the beach was just what we were looking for. If you like to sit outside, listen to the ocean and read a good book, you could not find a better rental. The huge screened in porch in back and the equally big open porch in front fit the bill. The customer service by the owners was excellent. I would recommend this property to any group of vacationers looking for a beach experience in the luxury of a beautiful home.
We had a great time at this place. My family has been going to the beach for 18 years now. Every year my parents rent a house for all of the kids and grand-kids and great grand-kids to go to the beach. We all get in the cars, trucks and vans caravan style to attend the "Family Beach Trip". This place was perfect for us. Now that the grandkids are grown up and we can no longer pile them all into one room having a little extra space was nice. With 6 rooms, two of which have two sets of beds in them, two living areas and four bathrooms everyone was able to spend time with whom they wanted and was able to retreat to their own areas when desired. The enclosed screen porch accessible only by passing through the house was great for sending the great grandson (age 4) out to play without having to worry he would wander off alone. The elevator was very nice because my mother has bad feet and stairs always give her trouble. Most years once she would get into the beach house she wouldn't come down until we left but not this year. She was able to access the beach and even go shopping with the women. I can not say enough nice things about this place. The only drawback is that it's not beach front. I guess you can't have it all even when your going to the beach. We loved it so much last year that we are going to try to get it again this year.
We spent almost a week together! Six best friends who now live in different states. This house had plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and spacious "together" space. The kitchen area is wonderful! A short walk to the beach, beautiful sunrises and a warm, inviting house. What more could we want?!
