Condo fully remodeled in summer 2012 features:

*1 bedroom with queen bed, 3-drawer dresser, walk-in closet, large southern-exposure window facing back deck

*1.5 baths, with newly modernized shower in master

*Open plan for living and dining, with American Leather extra-long sleeper in living room

*Compact, efficient kitchen with new appliances in 2012, plus all-new cookware, dishware, small appliances, etc.

*28 x 10 private deck off kitchen; new propane barbecue and patio furniture seating 8 added May 2013.

*Shared 16th floor deck has spectacular views of the valley and surrounding mountains--a great place to end the day with your own little 'happy hour.'

About Jan Wacker

John and Jan live in Portland, OR, in the historical Irvington neighborhood. We also have condos in Palm Springs, CA, and Reno, NV. Our 1917 craftsman bungalow in Portland was fully renovated in 2008. The 1979 Palm Springs condo was remodeled top to bottom in spring 2011 and also is available for vacation rental. The Reno condo was purchased and fully renovated in summer 2012.

John is an electrical engineer, and Jan is retired. We enjoy traveling abroad, especially to Europe. When in Portland, we have fun driving our two classic cars, a 1940 Buick Super hot rod and a 1965 Skylark convertible. We look forward to much more traveling when John retires.

All the fun of downtown and all the proximity to the great outdoors! The Truckee River and Wingfield Park bandstand are just across from the condo entry, and we love all the recent changes in downtown Reno. Because we also provide free parking in our building's downstairs garage, you can come and go as you please. Drive to Lake Tahoe for summer and winter fun, hike and ski in the mountains, enjoy day trips to historic Virginia City, NV, or Sacramento, CA. The Basque food in Gardnerville, NV, is also a treat.

Thoughtful hosts, great location

This property is ideally located, fully equipped, and owned by very thoughtful and helpful hosts. Everything you need is nearby, including walking trails and a 12 screen theater. The unit was clean and everything worked as advertised. The laundry is coin-operated, off the garage, but not far away and easy to use.

The only caveat - the parking garage is challenging, even for a relatively modest-sized vehicle, and the only alternative is on the street. If your car is bigger than an Accord or Camry, it probably won't fit. Our MB GLK, at 179" long, and a wheelbase of 109", made it, but just barely.

We had a good time, and will no doubt be back in the future.
