I am a native New Orleanian who is passionate about the world, other cultures and it's people, food and land. I have lived in Charlotte, San Diego, Austin and have traveled all over the world. As a fellow traveler, I want to offer you exceptional accommodations during your stay in the Big Easy!
Liz Bertucci purchased this townhome in 2009
We want to thank Liz for the beautiful home we stayed in during our stay. My daughters had never been to New Orleans before. We wanted them to feel comfortable and this home did just that. The neighborhood is safe and beautiful. We were there during Mardi Gras and all the neighbors were so nice. The home had everything we needed to make it feel like our home away from home. There is parking for 2 cars, which was great. It is walking distance to Whole Foods, restaurants and Audubon Park. It could not have been any better! We will be back!
My high school friend and I returned to new Orleans for a Saints football/NOLA reunion weekend with our husbands and toddler. It was perfect. Local New Orleans charm and modern comfort. Beautiful New Orleans, safe family neighborhood. Walking distance to hours of fun... coffee and shps on magazine, dinner at Clancy's or one of the new hipster hangouts, drinks at St. Joe's, poboys tasteoff (Domilise's and Guy's). Bonus: Offstreet parking for 2 cars. Toddler park 3 blocks toward Tchoup was unique and for us, Lagniappe.
a beautiful hime for a family gathering. Wr had many family members staying at hotels but were able to host a dinner for 13 (brought in) Great location. Close to Magazine St. 2 full bathrooms upstairs and half bath on main floor. Stairs on the steep side
I almost don't want to write a review, because I'd like to keep this little gem to myself. However, if you are looking for a place to stay in NOLA that allows you to comfortably live like a local, in a quiet neighborhood, look no further. My family spent the week of Christmas in Liz's home this year. We couldn't have been happier with our stay. The location is perfect. A quick walk to Whole Foods, not to mention restaurants and shops on Magazine. Easy drive into the French Quarter, and restaurants on St Charles. Not to mention an easy cab ride anywhere in NOLA.
The house is a very nice size. Spacious and comfortable. The furnishings are well appointed and tasteful. Liz has great taste and it shows in the feeling in her house. The offstreet parking for two cars is a nice little bonus.
The beds are comfortable. Everyone slept well and had no complaints.
The picture of the covered patio area is not up to date. There is no covering. This didn't affect us because it was too cold to go outside, but I can see this being an issue in Spring or Summer if it's raining.
That being said, I can't think of any reason not to stay in this great Uptown home! You won't regret it. We will definitely be back!
Having been to NOLA many times over the past few years to visit our son in college, we deiced to rent a house for his graduation week. The uptown location was very convenient to to the Tulane campus and blocks to Audobon park and Magazine Street shops (Whole Foods) and restaurants.
The photos on the website depicted perfectly how beautiful this home is .... spacious, comfortable and warm. The bedrooms are good size with lots of closet space. The master bedroom Tempurpedic mattress was amazing .... sleeping was great. The kitchen was well equipped with a very modern feel and was a perfect hangout spot for the family to get together.
The home owner is such a nice person. She made every effort to make our stay enjoyable and was always reachable when we had questions. The day we arrived we found the TVs in the house were not getting a cable signal and reached out for help. We were contacted by the owner with a conference call to the cable company who directed us to reset the system. It was operational within minutes .... amazing service !
I would highly recommend this home to friends or family visiting NOLA.
I rented this lovely town home for my husband's birthday during Superbowl Weekend and could not have been happier with our stay. This spacious, well-appointed home felt like a tranquil oasis during one of the busiest weekends I've ever seen in New New Orleans. The amenities were top notch and the location couldn't have been better. Thank you Liz for making our weekend so memorable. We hope to be back again someday. Roll Tide!!!
