Cozy country cabin across from Watauga Lake surrounded by 81 acres of privacy - offers forests, pastures, a barn for your horses . . . come ride the wind! The 6,000-acre Cherokee National Forest - abuts the property on two sides. Crystal clear Black Branch, a rushing trout stream flows past the cabin. Fish/fly fish in the stream, private pond, or across the street on Watauga Lake (license required): trout, bass, blue gill, or walleye! Picture perfect setting for all ages..... Don't forget your pole........... Seasonal hunting w/ license.

The cabin boasts of down-home country with its 2 bedrooms & a comfy sleeper sofa. In summer, at the end of a long day of 'playing', enjoy the private out door shower for a fun cool-off. This cabin has all the extras that make it a 'home' and then some . . . even a washer/dryer.

About Sean Good or Marilyn Good

A group of friends came upon this little farm & just had to make it ours! We built the guest cabin in 2005 from lumber cut from our 81 acres. This is the 1st season we decided to share this gem with other vacationers. . . Enjoy!!

Why Sean Good or Marilyn Good chose Watauga Lake

We searched for the perfect mountain vacation property for over 12 years . . . and then we happened upon this retired farm. Three generations ago, they raised horses, grew tobacco & bred fox for pelts. We've heard stories from many local teens who worked tobacco here when they were growing up. Grandad passed on, but the family kept the farm for another generation. When they decided it was time to sell & move on, we just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Their family still comes back for an occasional visit & they share stories of days gone by.

What makes this cabin unique

When we come to the mountains & step on the property, we feel instantly relaxed. The clean mountain air & the sound of the rushing creek melt away any tensions from 'city life'. Bring your fishing pole & relax by the pond or walk back to the National Forest. We love to see the new fawns with their moms by the apple tree in summer. The butterflies & wildflowers add beauty & color. I enjoy sitting in a rocking chair on the back porch quietly reading a book & enjoying the hummingbirds at the feeders. The kids & dogs romp in the creek, while the guys take a fun ATV ride to look for wildlife: squirrel, chipmunk, fox, deer, turkey, hawks, songbirds, coyotes, grouse, or maybe a (shy) black bear. And there are wild blackberries & apples just begging to be made into cobbler or pie. it's all here to enjoy!
