3 bedroom, 2 bath, sleeps 2-6

Location, location, location! Private, spectacular panoramic views and extremely quiet Collins Hilltop Haven is on a cul de sac at the top of a very tall scenic hill. Shopping centers with the likes of Costco and Trader Joe's are within a mile away on the main highway which links Prescott Valley and downtown Prescott. But one wouldn't know it in this quiet neighborhood of expensive homes on big lots. CHH has a short south facing driveway with parking area and two car garage only feet from the covered archway and front door. There are NO STEPS here or anywhere in this well maintained home.

Come in wheeling the suitcases. The extensively windowed east facing wall of the vaulted Great Room allows a view that will not be forgotten. It is totally unobstructed and panoramic. In the distance, the Bradshaw Mountains and the often snow clad Mingus Mountains form the backdrop over Prescott Valley, which becomes a blanket of lights at night.

Take your shoes off. The plush wall to wall carpet is a treat for stockinged feet and one can tuck them up when lying on the giant sectional while viewing the 60 inch HD flat screen.

The well appointed tiled kitchen fills the entire wall at one end of the Great Room with only a large island to define it. The adjacent dining area table is set up for four, but there are eight chairs and two table leaves. The abundance of sunlight makes the house as bright as one wants. Windows have vertical blinds as does the sliding glass door leading to the outdoor carpeted back deck. Much time will be spent on this deck. There's no late day sun, it's very private overlooking a landscaped backyard and steep drop off. Did I mention the view?

Cooled air, drifting down from ceiling vents, makes for no drafts and a very comfortable feel. But when the outside temperature drops, one can crack open a few of the sliding windows to experience the great mountain breeze. The bedrooms are spacious and seem even bigger with mirrored sliding closet doors. The beds are very comfortable. The master suite is on a different end of the house from the other bedroom, den and guest bath. It is quiet, private, and quite luxurious.

One will be attuned to the wonderful Prescott weather and classic panoramic Arizona views when staying at conveniently located Collins Hilltop Haven.

About James Collins

We are both retired teachers that have lived in Northern Arizona for the past 40 years. Both of us grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and moved to Flagstaff to attend NAU in the early 70s. We met as colleagues in one of our first teaching jobs. We have been married for over 30 years, have three lovely daughters and two amazing grandsons.

One of our daughters attended college in Prescott. We loved to visit her, enjoying the scenic beauty and activities available. We were impressed by the warmth and caring of the people in general. After an extended stay, we decided that this will be the place we eventually move to. This gorgeous place seemed to fall in our lap at just the right time. We want to share it with others until we are ready to move here permanently!

What makes this house unique

Our home is so quiet and private although it is close to everything! The views are amazing!! Our goal has been to make it as comfortable as possible.

Our home is located only two miles from Lynx Lake where there is fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, biking, camping, picnicking, and even a restaurant. We are within a mile of Costco, Walmart, the Gateway Mall, Trader Joes, numerous restaurants and bakeries. The casinos are within two miles and the downtown area within three. You would never know you were so close to everything when you arrive at this hilltop retreat!

Loved it for the second time!

We stayed three nights in this beautiful home once again. It is a jewel! Once you get there, you don't even care if you leave the house, it is so comfortable, private, and spacious. The view is so much more expansive than the photos show. Thanks again!

I live in Las Vegas and desperately needed a vacation from the heat. Your place in Prescott was perfect! When I left your home to go back to Las Vegas it literally felt like I was on  top of the world.
 The views of Prescott and Prescott valley were amazing. The bed was comfortable, in the living areas (kitchen, living room and dining room) were the best views I have ever seen in a home.  Plus everything needed is  at the bottom of your hill! Trader Joes, Wal Mart and even a Mall! Thank you for a wonderful mini vacation in a beautiful home. I will be sure to visit again soon !

Fantastic getaway!

This house is fantastic! The feeling you get when you enter is one of awe. Such a light and open floor plan with views that would be hard to match anywhere in the area. Everything is so clean, the carpet is lush, we just loved being there and will definitely return for a future vacation. The outside deck was perfect for enjoying evening drinks or morning coffee and the privacy was unbelievable!

We visited the casino, had massages at the mall right across the main road, shopped at Trader Joe's, and strolled along historic Prescott which is only a short drive away with it's many restaurants and shops. A very fun time and the owners were so easy to work with! I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a memorable vacation getaway!
