THIS ISLAND IS NO FANTASY, JUST FANTASTIC. BEAUTIFUL RIVERFRONT CABIN

My husband spoke with the owner before we arrived there so he was waiting for us at the nearby dock with his pontoon boat which he also generously included in the price of the weekend rental.We arrived at the cabin in just a few minutes.The cabin is so much nicer than the pictures show.It has recently been renovated with new beds in the bedrooms,nice new bathrooms and a full kitchen.The air conditioner works great and the front screened in porch is where we spend most of our time as it is huge with comfortable furniture and 3 ceiling fans.It is advertised as sleeping 10 people but there are only 2 dbl beds and 2 couches plus a futon but it is outside so you really wouldn't want to sleep there in the summer when it's too hot.So I would say it sleeps 6.There is also a very small grill there and it needs to be bigger too if your cooking for 6 people.It is nice that there are 2 bathrooms but when we were there the toilet in the back on wouldn't flush all the way so that could be a problem.Overall this is a great cabin,fully stocked with everything you will need for your stay including linens and towels,there's even a washer and dryer.I guess it could use some good old fashioned elbow grease but after all it is rustic so you know your not staying at the Ritz..haha.We all enjoyed our stay there very much and we would definately go back again.You also might want to stock it with some firewood in case people want to have a bonfire at night.That would be really nice right there on the water.Oh,and before I forget,please put up some curtains so your guests don't have to get up with the chickens inless they want to.Room darkening blinds would be even better in my opinion.Perhaps you could add some board games or horse shoes too.We think that the owners have done an excellent job remodeling this cabin.Thank you for allowing us the use it.We really enjoyed our visit.
