As soon as you open the door you will be awed by the soaring ceilings and windows, plush furnishings, and superior styling of this mountain home. A cozy wood stove anchors the huge great room, which also boasts leather couches and chairs, large new flat-screen TV, ipod/computer dock stereo, a Blu-Ray/DVD player, and Wifi. The dining area seats up to 10, and the sliding glass door opens to the wood deck. Adjacent to the great room, the granite counters and wall of windows in the kitchen will draw you into its embrace, if just to hang out! You will find everything you need to create special vacation meals, or grab a bite on the go.
The main floor also offers two queen bedrooms with lofty comforters and gorgeous decor. Enjoy the full bathroom with dual sinks and beautiful rock shower and floor.
Upstairs are the master suite and the loft. In the master suite you will revel in the king bed, beautiful artwork, private deck, and stunning rock shower in the master bath. The loft can sleep two more guests in two twin beds, and there is a charming window seat on the opposite side of the loft. The house is best for older kids rather than toddlers due to the large exposed staircase and gorgeous new furnishings.
In Donner Lake you can enjoy the grassy and sandy beach at West End Beach, with tennis,basketball, volleyball, picnic tables, barbecues, rest rooms, swimming, and watersports rentals. Donner Lake also has a quaint general store and a couple restaurants. Don't miss Donner Memorial State Park and Museum. Of course, historic and beautiful Truckee is just 4 miles down the road, with world-class dining and shopping, special events, and all services.
Donner Summit's skiing, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, lakes and rivers, are less than 8 miles away on the most beautiful road in the world. And all North Tahoe has to offer is within easy reach.
