My friends and I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Elaine's farmhouse

I am a potter who loves to get my hands in clay.

Hands in dirt is not a bad thing either, as I love to garden ,as well.

I have a large vegetable garden and perennial gardens all around the property. If you are here in season, you may be able to partake of my garden vegetables and/or flowers to decorate the farmhouse.

I also love to hike the trails right out the door- Up the mountains, and down to the river.

These are a few of my favorite things!

I hope that you can come and enjoy them too.

Elaine Hoffman purchased this farmhouse in 1965

This Farmhouse has been in the family for nearly 50 years. We have developed the land and buildings and have enjoyed its solemnity and tranquility.

The farmhouse is just 2 miles from downtown West Stockbridge where shopping necessities, galleries, restaurants, playgrounds, tennis, and swimming are all available.

It is within 10 minutes from Tanglewood, theatres, movies, museums and other cultural activities, as well as ski resorts.

And yet a lovely place to just sit and contemplate on the screened in porch overlooking the fields, gardens, stream and wooded mountains.

CHRISTMAS IN JANUARY!

  • 5 of 5
Elaine's farmhouse worked out perfectly for our January celebration/family gathering. Plenty of room for a sit down dinner at the large dining room table, as well as seating in the Living Room to watch the football games! Hiking trails and skiing nearby provided something for everyone! Elaine was very helpful and we look forward to returning.

COZY AND HOMEY

  • 5 of 5
My family and I had a fantastic weekend at Elaine's farmhouse. The property is gorgeous and private. The house is full of character with the antique doors and antique furntiure. Sitting on the porch in the morning drinking my coffee was my favorite. My nephews spent most of their time outside playing in the yard and woods. I can't wait to come back next year!!

LOVELY FARMHOUSE AND OWNER

  • 5 of 5
We rented the farmhouse July 3-8. The weather was desperately hot, in the 90's, and extremely humid the entire time. Despite that, the house stayed reasonably cool with the window shades and many electric fans. The farmhouse is well decorated, not cluttered, extremely clean and spacious for the 6-8 of us. Elaine's pottery studio, gallery and house are out back but secluded from the farmhouse. It's fun to check out the pottery--I enjoyed it so much that I bought some. The grounds are beautiful and rustic with a big vegetable garden from which we were urged, by Elaine, to pick the produce. There is a stream and walking paths out back. The location is excellent- only 1.5 miles off the Mass Pike yet close to Tanglewood, West Stockbridge and Stockbridge, Norman Rockwell Museum, Jacob's Pillow and much more. We enjoyed excellent dinners at Rouge in West Stockbridge and at the Dream Away Lodge near Jacob's Pillow. Despite the too hot weather, we had an excellent and fun time at the farmhouse.

JAMES TAYLOR ON JULY 4TH

  • 4 of 5
Thanks Elaine !!! Your charming farm house was just what we needed for the July 4th get away. We went to see James Taylor and your place was perfect for what we needed. Tanglewood was close by and you had everything we needed for those few days. Thanks again for the fresh lettuce from your garden and your wisdom on the surrounding area. Also, the wifi throughout the house made it easy for all of us to stay connected and get a bit of work done while we were gone. We look forward to coming back again next year :)
