I bought this ocean property because I love the ocean but was not able to enjoy it because I lived inland and worked so much. Now I don't need to drive to see the ocean, I just open the patio door and smell the fresh ocean air and enjoy beautiful sunsets. I also love the boardwalk where I often go skating, biking, or take a refreshing walk. The ocean is invigorating and fun to catch a wave while boogie boarding.
I love Pacific Beach and want to share it with you!
Once you get to this property, you do not have to go anywhere. You have everything you need when you park your car in the private gated parking garage. You can surf, kayak, boogie board, and scuba in the immediate area. You can walk to most activities. Breathtaking views everywhere.

Although nice, this unit was not the luxurious space the site promotes. It is on the small side and any more than 4 people would be difficult. Much of the décor is older. The kitchen is well stocked and everything is clean. The parking is also very nice to have. The beach, beach items available in the condo, the restaurants were all very nice to have just outside of the unit. I wish however that I had read the reviews more carefully. This unit is so loud at night that sleeping is impossible if it is warm or hot outside. There is no air-conditioning which may not be necessary for 8 months out of the year. But if you rent during the summer the windows have to be open. Once the bar music stops across the street, the sax player on Mission Blvd starts and goes until 3 am. So does the foot traffic, skate boarders and street fights. By 4:00 am the garbage and delivery trucks start and do not stop all day long. Forget trying to take a nap during the day to make up for the lack of sleep at night. The owner of the unit could easily eliminate the problem by installing air conditioning units in the bedrooms. With the windows closed the noise is diminished. The owner and the rental agency is well aware of the issue and argue that none of the units have air conditioning and fans have been provided. The fans were not adequate when it was muggy and hot outside as we experienced, There are also ear plugs in the kitchen drawer. This could have been a very enjoyable week. I hope that the owner takes note of this and realizes that people are paying money in good faith to have a nice vacation spot. Again, This unit is very, very noisy all night long. The main windows face West so get the long afternoon sun. The master bedroom window faces Mission Blvd and the sax player. He reportedly has been there playing every night for 6 years. He was certainly there every night for the 9 nights that we were there. And he is not that good. The bedroom window also sits on the alley where the delivery trucks start arriving about 4 am. Please beware of this rental unit.
Generally we prefer an ocean front room, but being that we were only there a few days and for purposes other than the beach this condo was great. It was a busy weekend with college graduation, so PB was rocking! But, we had the fans to help drown out the noise from the street entertainment and bars. Amenities were great and we appreciated having the basics upon arrival and during our stay!! The condo is very nice, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen fully stocked with dishes and cutlery. We were right on the board walk with easy access to the beach and we enjoyed the patio that looked out to the ocean. The hot tub was nice and hot, which was a great way to warm up after going snorkeling. Having a place to park was also a big plus!!! We had a great time and would recommend this to anyone who likes to spend time on the beach, walk to nearby restaurants and shops, and doesn't mind some street noise into the night.
The condo is really well located. It's in the center of all the activities (restaurants, shops, grocery stores, bars...) and it is 1 minute walking to the beach which is really nice. The condo by itself is cleaned and well furnished. There were beach toys for the kids, dvds, beach towels... The bar in front of the condo is a little bite noisy but at night they close the doors so the noise is not really loud. It didn't prevent us from sleeping! And we really appreciate the car spot in the building's garage because it's really an issue to park in this busy area.
We just spent a week here, the unit was clean, but calling it a "luxurious" or "designer" condo is an exaggeration. It's really just an older condo that has had some upgrades. The kitchen has an old electric range, could not get any pan to sit flat on coils, and the cookware was very poor quality. Furnishings were so-so. Beds were so-so. Nice TVs in the rooms and the living room sofa was nice. But the dining table was very cramped between the kitchen counter bar and the living room sofa. You could barely get in to sit down. And the furnishings in the bedrooms were okay. What was very odd was that on top of the newer carpet, they put scrap pieces of the carpeting down in several places instead of nicer throw rugs or runners. Mostly liked the location of the building on Pacific Beach, which is a great beach area. But this unit sits at the back of the condo with one side backing up to the alley behind the condo and the other side facing the a side street with the 710 club/bar. There is a lot of noise from the alley, including delivery trucks going to the restaurants nearby, garbage trucks in the morning, and someone playing a sax every night from about 9 pm to 1 am. Could not have windows open for fresh ocean air due to the street noise. And it got somewhat hot without opening the windows and there is no air conditioning. Window coverings are in poor shape, some slats missing from the living room vertical blinds, and the cords were broken on the bedroom blinds. Plus there wasn't very good light control letting the street lights shine into the bedrooms making sleeping difficult. There were a lot of good beach toys, chairs, and towels. The bikes provided were adequate but pretty rusty.
We love the area, but wouldn't stay in this particular unit again.
Shared this property two others while attending a conference in San Diego. We didn't to take advantage of the ocean, but it was right there. We walked everywhere for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you are looking to go downtown, cab will run you about $30, but you really don't need to leave this area.
Very well kept condo and well stocked with necessities. No problems during our stay, but manager was very prompt in welcoming us and returning the deposit check so i assume they would have very quick to respond shoud a problem arise. Would defintiely stay here again. Cheers!
Had a great stay, next to beach and the 710 Club. Susan was very accommodating and available. The Condo was very clean and well stocked, even included a fruit basket. Balcony overlooks the Pier and the 710 Club. Thanks for the great stay! Look forward to our return.
