Private, quiet and secluded three acre property, “El Rincón del Riachuelo”, surrounded by over 400 acres of wilderness preserves (Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve & Vireo Research Area Preserve). Located in West Lake Hills, 15 min. drive to downtown Austin and 10 min. to Zilker Park and Barton Springs Pool.

Well-shaded by trees in camp-like grounds with seasonal creek running through property. Private jogging/walking trails, patio, picnic and barbeque areas. Wildlife.

Two-story 3,300 sq ft cottage-in-the woods with abundant natural light from all windows looking out into nature. Natural trees and wood incorporated architecturally; living room has stone fireplace. Rooms furnished with custom/handmade wooden furniture.

Great house to entertain family/friends or recharge in nature.

Located in West Lake Hills, 15 min. drive to downtown Austin and 10 min. to Zilker Park and Barton Springs Pool. Entry to Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve itself ( which is open daily) is a five minute drive ,off of Capitol of Texas Highway/Loop 360. The Vireo Preserve is not accessible to the public.

  • House easily accommodates five adults, with separate bedrooms for each guest. Four of five bedrooms have double occupancy possibility (i.e., one has Queen size,and three have Double size beds). Study upstairs has couch that converts to a bed. Master bedroom upstairs also has a 'stowaway' Twin mattress. All bedrooms , and study, have ceiling fans (in addtion to central HVAC). Four of the five bedrooms have desks (i.e., the exception being the downstairs master bedroom). Bedroom # 5 (downstairs smaller bedroom with Twin matress) has a TV, as does bedroom #4 (upstairs middle bedroom).
