RESTORED CRAFTSMAN ON 200 AC RIVERFRONT FARM, FLOWERS, VIEWS, URBAN AMENITIES

Redmond House Rental Photos and Description

4BR, 2BA, sleeps 7 comfortably

Boxhill is located on the site of a 100 year old dairy farm that has been remodeled into a modern nursery with world class collections of boxwood and bamboo. Situated above the Snoqualmie River, which forms its West border, the farm is on the edge of Duvall --- easy walking distance from Safeway, banks, restaurants and other small business. Duvall is a charming 100 year old farming town in the heart of the Snoqualmie River Valley, close to skiing, hiking, rafting and a variety of mountain oriented recreation, but only about 30 minutes drive East of Seattle and less than 20 minutes from Redmond.

The 2700 sq ft. house is beautifully restored, quiet, charming, and convenient to the many recreational opportunities of the Snoqualmie River Valley and also convenient to the high tech employment of Redmond - Bellevue and the cultural amenities of Seattle.

GREAT

  • 5 of 5
We had a wonderful 3 nights. The house is so cute and updated. We loved hiking on the Snoqualmie trail. I bought plants from the nursery to take home to remember our trip to Duvall. The boys loved the ping pong table in the basement. Duvall is a cute little town to shop or eat out in. House very clean . I would recommend it to anyone.

FAMILY FRIENDLY FARM AND GREAT FOR PARTIES!

  • 5 of 5
Traveling with 5 adults + 1 baby (1.5yrs) from China, very convenient will all kitchenware necessary to cook at home, bedding and mattress very comfortable for good rest, bathrooms clean with hot showers. In the winter with zero degrees Celsius, inside the home is warm and cozy. Except for personal clothes not necessary to bring anything else. Surroundings is quite so our baby slept well. For sure will return. Hospitality of the owner Marise is absolutely lovely. Thanks Marise!

BEAUTIFUL,WELL MAINTAINED. OWNER IS VERY HELPFUL.

  • 5 of 5
Let me just say that this property is absolutely stunning. Beautiful trees, shrubs, and flowers cover most of the property. It is close to the river so you will usually see deer in the yard. It is very peaceful even though you are right next to main road through Duvall. Snoqualmie falls is a short drive from here, as well as many scenic trails. There are also many places to shop and eat within walking distance, and the commute to Seattle is a breeze. My parents, brothers, sister, and nieces stayed here for a week during our wedding and never had a complaint. They felt right at home even though they drove all the way from South Dakota. They even brought home some plants from the nursery located on the property! I highly recommend skipping the hotel and booking this property for your vacation.

BEAUTIFUL AND CHARMING HOME!

  • 5 of 5
This property is beautiful, charming, and very convenient! If you are staying in the Duvall or Redmond area, this is the place for you. We brought our family of 4 plus my mother and cousin to stay for a week during a family reunion. We couldn't have been more pleased with the beautiful home and surroundings. We wanted to bring flowers and plants home from the wonderful nursery! The owners are wonderful and made us feel so at home-even included breakfast and coffee for our first day. We stayed a week and couldn't have been happier. The property is secluded and lovely but right across the street from a SafeWay and restaurants, etc. Great place!

WONDERFUL!

  • 5 of 5
This place lives up to the pictures and description. We had a wonderful 9 days there and it is all as described above. Beautiful grounds, convenient to shopping and to Seattle, lots to do in the area, and very helpful owners. We loved the easy access to the beautiful rail trail behind the farm, and just walking around the nursery. The kids loved the ping pong in the basement (adults too).If we ever come back to Washington we would stay here again!

GREAT CHRISTMAS IN DUVALL

  • 4 of 5
We rented this home for Christmas week 2012 and we had a great time. The home is beautiful and very spacious. It's an older home that has been lovingly restored with some very practical features. Like dual pane windows that help regulate the temperature. The best feature about the house in my view are the comfortable sleeping quarters. There are 4 spacious bedrooms - two with full/queen size beds, one with a king bed and one with two twin beds. All the rooms have comfortable and clean bed linens and there are plenty of towels. You can easily accommodate 8 adults (we had six plus one child and everyone was very comfortable). The kitchen is well equipped and again very spacious. It's not super new and updated, but it's certainly functional and clean. And the owner was nice enough to supply a few groceries to get us started.

The house is located in a small town that looks to have been recently developed. It's not a residential area, as I didn't see any other homes around. Rather, the house is on the grounds of an old farm and it looks like someone decided to build a Safeway and small strip mall across the street. I don't think this detracts from the charm of the home. The home is beautiful and the grounds are stunning. There is a large grassy yard and they planted some bamboo/trees to block the view of the shopping center. The Safeway across the street just adds a convenience factor. We were visiting family in Woodinville which was only about a 15 minute drive (I believe this is also the closest movie theater). We drove into Seattle one day and that took us about 35 minutes.

I have one minor nitpick about the home: the living room is a bit small and there is no couch, just four large comfy chairs. This is somewhat surprising since the home can comfortably sleep 8 adults with no problem at all. So it's too bad it can't comfortably seat 8 adults in the living room. We made it work and brought some chairs in from the dining room so we could all sit together for games / tv viewing. I definitely don't think this is a deal breaker, and I would absolutely stay here again despite this, but it's one thing I wish I could change. I think this was more of an issue for us since we rented in the winter time and thus were forced indoors more than summer time visitors. For summer visits, I suspect this is no big deal at all.

I would definitely recommend this home to a friend.
