Park the car, leave the bags, and stroll down to the beach - that is how we begin 'Up North living,'

Newly weds to 'empty nesters' can relax with an affordable 'up north' vacation in the quaint Village of Elk Rapids. Surrounded by beautiful lakes and fronted by picture perfect Grand Traverse Bay, Elk Rapids is small town recreation at its very best.

Our 1000 sq. ft. ranch home is fully and attractively furnished. There are two bedrooms, a cozy kitchen, comfortable living room, large fenced in back yard, and bonus game room.

The large master bedroom provides a comfortable feel. It is furnished with a queen bed, futon, and couch. The room has a walk-in closet and sliding door to the slate patio. The second bedroom is furnished with two twin beds.

The kitchen opens up into the living/dining room which also has a slider to the patio. The back yard is completely fenced in with a tall privacy fence. The front yard is open and spacious.

Enjoy the many conveniences of four season living in our Village. Take a short walk or bike ride through the quiet neighborhood to Main Street shopping, dining, and entertainment.

We had a great time in Elk Rapids and at this house. It was a perfect size for two people. We used the spare bedroom for storage of luggage etc. Master bedroom was huge w/living area and big TV. Window A.C. in master only, but that was plenty. Our dogs loved fenced backyard and patio w/trees and deck was so nice that we had breakfast out there everyday. The two bicycles enabled us to bike to downtown whenever we wanted. Elk Rapids is a lovely little town. The landlord was super nice. The only down side is Traverse City is a 20 minute drive and if you need anything beyond the basics you have to go there. Otherwise great.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Great getaway spot. If you like quiet small towns where you can walk anywhere you wish and where the kids are always safe then Elk Rapids is a must see for you. Great house . . . very comfortable.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Very clean house on quiet street. Great location to travel north or south to Traverse City. Sleeps 4 best. Elk Rapids is a quaint, quiet place to stay.
