Adorable Bird Rock Beach Cottage with Pool

My family rented this La Jolla family's home the week of July 28th. The description in the listing and the photos are spot on to what the house is in actuality. As you walk in, there is a large open living room, dining room kitchen and family room that open to the pool deck in back. Off to the left of the entrance there is a large office that we did not use. Off to the right of the entry are the three main bedrooms that are nice and clean. The best of the house was the large bathroom off the pool, cooking in the nice and well equipped kitchen (I'm very jealous of the range), eating many meals at the home at the picnic-style table and obviously the private pool. The location is great as well, don’t miss the "Open Aire Market" on Sunday mornings, eating on Cass at "The Fishery", and another great restaurant, "Lupi" on La Lolla Blvd and watching the sunsets at Calumet Park. The surfing portion of Tourmaline Beach is closest to the house. To get the swimming section with lifeguards, it's about another 1/4 mile walk south. But all are within easy walking distance and the suggestions that the family leaves for renters are very good. I was initially worried because the house does not have A/C but that definitely was not an issue during our summer stay. There was a small issue with street noise (car traffic, motorcycles racing up the hill, dogs barking one night, partiers from Pacific Beach to the south, someone yelling for their lost dog another night). It was not a huge issue, but it was something to contend with. All-in-all the house is exactly what the description, photos and reviews claim it to be. Well kept, very clean, lots of room and great for families.
