About Gary Kroll

Would you like to really hit one out of the park? After you stay at Dream Catcher Point Resort, you will be given a complimentary autographed photo from the former Major League Baseball player, Gary Melvin Kroll. Gary was a pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1964, the New York Mets from 1964 to 1965, the Houston Astros in 1966, and the Cleveland Indians in 1969. Standing 6-foot, 6-inches tall, the right-hander earned the title 'Fire-Balling Giant' after striking out 309 batters in a single season and pitching two no-hitters in the minors. In 1965, Gary pitched the first no-hitter game in New York Mets' history; the Mets were up against the Pittsburgh Pirates and Gary took his spot in the history books by pitching the first six innings of the game with no-hitters and Gordon Richardson followed by pitching the last three.

Great Family Thanksgiving Vacation!

We stayed at the DreamCatcher Point Resort for Thanksgiving, which included 9 Adults and 3 Children. The property owner was always available to answer any questions, and was super helpful! The view, from every angle, was amazing! Even though it was super cold, the kiddos had a blast riding their bikes, fishing from the dock, and exploring the grounds! Thanks for a great time!!
