Kailua beach is 2.5 miles of white sand. Hawaiian sea turtles are a common sight in the turquoise waters of Kailua Bay. The bay is protected by an off-shore reef and is ideal for swimming, kayaking, windsurfing, kiteboarding, bodyboarding and surfing. Kailua bay is a renowned windsurfing and kiteboarding spot.
We are an active family that enjoys the outdoors. Boating, golfing, kiteboarding and stand up paddle boarding are some of the things we do around Kailua. We also enjoy traveling but get homesick if gone from the islands too long.
Disclosure: owner is related to real estate agent who holds a real estate license in the State of Hawaii.

This property fits our island lifestyle. A place where you can remove your slippers (flip flops), BBQ and hang loose.
Pool is a great addition to this home, its a great way to enjoy the sun when not at the beach. Location of this home is a bonus where you can walk to Kailua town to shop, eat and explore the town. Also, a 10min walk to Kailua beach, one of the most beautiful beach in the world.
Judy, just wanted to get back to you and let you know how much my family enjoyed staying at your place. We had a great time and the house fit our needs perfectly. Even the hurricanes cooperated in bypassing the island with only some light rain from the first one. My sister lives in Honolulu and we were able to get together with her family numerous times while we were there.
House was fantastic. Perfect location, really close to downtown kailua. Great amenities. Pool was amazing. Outdoor shower was perfect. Kitchen was fully stocked. AC in the rooms. would love to stay again!
Spent nine days at this property with our daughter and family. The pictures and description are spot on. The lanai and pool area was the highlight for us. Comfortable space to relax while watching the activity in the pool. The location in relationship to the beach and Kailua Town are good, but driving is your best bet. We are annual visitors to the Islands and this property will be on our list again when we have family visiting with us.
It was, unfortunately for us, a property with clear signs of falling into disrepair. Cracked ceilings, stained carpets, chipped paint, dirty drawers. The pool area, kitchen, and living room were nice and clean, but the bedroom areas were not. Also, in the checkout instructions they requested for us to wipe down all the counters. Why am I paying you a cleaning fee, if I have to also clean on the day of my checkout? Would NOT recommend this property.
Thank you so much for sharing your home! This was our first trip to Oahu and we were looking for an authentic Hawaiian home in a great little beach town and we found it here! Judy's house is exactly as described; very clean and comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to cook a delicious Christmas dinner for our family. The outdoor shower was perfect after coming back from long day at beach, plenty of hot water and great water pressure. The covered patio by the pool was a great place to have coffee in the am while enjoying a great view of the mountains. The location is perfect, close to grocery store and cute little downtown area and within walking to beautiful Kailua beach. So many great little restaurants in Kailua; Kailua Pub and Grill and The Shack for burgers. Our favorite was Buzz's steakhouse, make reservations. The homemade pineapple scones from the Kalapawai market should not be missed!
On Christmas morning we hiked the pillbox trail in Lanakai, amazing views! The beaches are many and each beach provided us with a different activity. Kailua beach was great for kayaking and paddle boarding. Sandy beach, a little south of Makapuu lighthouse had great body surfing waves that break almost on the beach. Snorkling was great at Sharks cove up at North shore and of course big wave surfing (which we just watched at Banzi pipeline!) Ted's bakery must not be missed at North shore. And food trucks all around the island were fantastic!
We highly recommend Judy's house for an authentic Hawaiian vacation and we can't wait to return!
Judy was great from start of this transaction back in February up to our stay! We chose this place for that very reason. The place was great for us and our son and his family (who actually live in Kailua) to all visit and have family time together. Judy was very accommodating in every request. Thank you!!!! We had everything we needed.
All 6 of us had a wonderful 9 days stay. The location was close enough to town and the beach for an easy walk. Though we did enjoying exploring other Oahu beaches, nearby Kailua Beach Park became our favorite.
The property listing accurately described the property. The outdoor space provided a favorite spot for both the children and adults to enjoy each other's company. The pool with the adjoining covered seating area was just perfect for swimming, grilling and just hanging out. With the convenience of nearby grocery stores, we easily prepared most of our meals in the kitchen. The bedrooms were comfortable. One had no air conditioner but that wasn't a problem for us. And yes, the outdoor shower is the best. We appreciated the ample supply of towels, beach and pool toys.
The property was clean and well maintained. The only thing we noticed was that the outdoor grill need some additional cleaning. The owners were gracious, prompt and responsive to our needs. I would definitely recommend this property to future vacationers.
This home is located 2 blocks to Kailua Beach, great for sun bathing, windsurfing, kiteboarding, SUP, Boogie boarding and surfing. Also, 3 blocks to Kailua town, where you will find restaurants, boutiques, super markets and cozy coffee shops.
